Has anyone played the new UE5 map during a playtest?

If so, can you give an idea of where you would go in the Exile map to switch over to Isle of Siptah?

People who were selected to be in the playtest are still subject to the NDA.

Just wait a day and you can get in the game and find it yourself

I understand that to mean it’s NDA Stuff.

So, you’re going to have to find that out for yourself after the update drops.

I don’t even understand why it’s under an NDA. It’s not exactly new content. The UE5 is a graphical upgrade and they connected EL and IoS together. Why exactly are people under an NDA for that? Those of us who were playing on an IoS map are now at a disadvantage because we don’t have a base and now we have to fight over spots not just with our IoS players, but the new EL players as well.

This is the way it is and I understand that you want to secure your spot to rebuild your base.

It will probably takes seconds to get an answer from Global chat if you ask there as soon as you log in.

It didn’t occur to me, but I guess it could be possible for those of us being transferred from an IoS server to actually be able to spawn in at one of the new IoS spawn locations. Not sure if that is how Funcom chose to handle these mergers, but I guess it would be nice if they did that at least. Guess we’ll find out soon enough.

One reason could be, that what people saw at the play test may not be the same what people see on the live version. Things are subject to change, bugs get fixed etc. So you don’t wan’t people to talk about bugs or features that may not be there anymore when things go live.

I completely understand the point of an NDA, but this “update” basically forced a good portion of players to pack up for a server transfer, thus losing their bases. I’m just looking for a fair approach to these players getting access to IoS first. It would be a really bad approach for those of us looking to rebuild having to compete with already established clans.

It is rather the simpliest zone (Noob river) or the hardest zone (Volcano). Or maybe it’s somewhere in the town of Sepermeru, it makes sence as well. I’d like to know if there is any API for modders to attach their custom maps to the same portal. It’ll make much sence.

So, has the NDA been lifted?

I asked Dana about that a week or so back, and she was able to get confirmation that the NDA remains in force even after the update goes live. People who were bound by it can (obviously) discuss things they encounter in the updated game, but should still not discuss anythign to do wit the playtest.

Thanks
