Announcement of CE UE5 and closing of siptah server

So in fact transfer option has been activated to migrate toon from siptah server that will be close.

But i do not understand the logic

why siptah servers dont have the same treatment than conan map ?

i mean all players of conan map have no reasons to worry about anything as all is transfered to UE5 with a fresh sipath added.

but players of siptah ? no, wipe, you have to move your characters ? why this other treatment for those who have already bought conan & siptah and play on siptah ? do they need to be punish for that ? why siptah server do not have the same treatment ? in transfering to UE5 with adding a fresh conan map linked ?

i dont understand ? why not same treatment for conan map players and siptah map players…

why not the same for everyone ?

It was mentioned in the blog post that new Siptah being added on Exiled lands will have different coords and transfering from UE4 to UE5 will be impossible

can only say it lead to a very unfair situation for siptah players and a mess with server transfer tool, not coder at all but seem weird for me to not be able to move siptah old map on new map UE5 coord. map as all is still the same… if problems is for characters of the void of siptah, well made them appear in noob area by default

that is what they said, but is complete bullshit, they are going to copy paste the whole siptah map to the new zone on EL, they can simply and easily convert to the new coords.

they are not going to do that to close all the siptah servers to save money and just run the EL ones

i agree, very hard for me to understand, and doing that to siptah players, i mean we have already bought the dlc…

I can understand because the map coordinate changes. So that gonna be hard to remap our placed buildings and inventory.

I dont see any info on this, but you think they will allow players to have unlimited inventory as they dismantle and personally store their stuff on them. I know they did this in the past for Server merges where players were moved from one to another via database. So this is not entirely an unreasonable request.

They can convert coordinates, that is true, they cannot make the buildings accept the new coordinates. It is not as simple as you think.

The blog post says that you can transfer thralls and materials to the new UE5 servers. It’ll be a lot of work, granted, to rebuild complex bases. But one has to say: For that work, you get access to new graphics, a lot of bug fixes and the Exiled Lands. I’d say that’s a good deal.

For my single player games, the move will create a lot of work, too - I’ll probably just abandon the Siptah games in the end. But I’m still happy overall. It’s a big, fat net positive, even though you can transfer between Siptah and Exiled Lands in single player right now. The map merge is just great; makes all things much less of a hassle in the long run.

that will be the minimim to do but that should be opened only for server that will close, but honestly hitting people that have been first buyer of siptah… because puting on players the workload to manage that is rude, and we talk of pvp server, where you can be hit before leaving and at arrival… i mean all assets on a pvp server are hidden using different strategy linked to building etc. there should be a no pvp time at arrival for rebuilding, but still hard for me to believe there is no other solution than let players managing that alone with no real dev solution to have a fair situation for all players.

This seems to be for steam only though bc I didn’t see anything about console on the email announcement

which is even more unfair

I’m super excited and grateful for this update, but I’ve been running a private server for years and have built castles, villages, bridges, fortresses, dungeons, towers, and more on Siptah without a decay timer—essentially years of accumulated world-building. This is a devastating problem for anyone who has invested in Siptah.

to those who are not on PC.

Wait for your turn.

They mentioned giving all the inventory to your Thralls to rebuild. Finally a reasons to gather all the bearers

are you jpking ? think to people that played for over 4 years on a server, because if we were talking about people that played 1 or 2 weeks on a server there would be no problem at all, but we dont talk of this case. now if they allow thralls to have an infinite inventory ok but this is not the case.

That is in fact not a joke and the actual quoted option. And with T4 bearers, you can disassemble your base and carry it with you when you arrive in the Exiled Lands to then go find the Sorcerer NPC to take the portal back to Siptah.

The question there comes down to maths. I’m not sure what the thrall limit is, but I’ve seen the number 65 come up a few times. Most of those will not be bearers, so let’s say a generous average would be 10 slots per follower - that’s 650 stacks of materials/weapons/etc. For long term players that is unlikely to be close to enough.

If they replace all of their followers with t4 bearers (in the approx two weeks that they have to do so), they could up that to 25 slots per follower. That would be 1,625 stacks of materials, weapons, etc. That’s still quite tight for a lot of longterm players to get everything into, even if it was actually plausible that they could find that many t4 bearers in such a short space of time.

Disassembling and carrying your base is not going to be something that is practical for a lot of people. At best they will be able to bring some of it, and will still likely lose a lot. Plus they now have to spend considerable time breaking it down, distributing it amongst followers and deciding what they have to prioritise. It’s understandable that people are upset by this.

Increasing stack sizes would help a lot, and it would be a smart move for other reason, too, I think. Push base materials up to a stack size of 1 Mio, and you’ll reduce base sizes, database sizes and inventory hassle. Would help a lot with this transfer, too.

Still wouldn’t help with the unstackable items - crafted or legendary weapons etc. But, yes, that would help considerably with the materials (and free up a lot more slots for the non-stackables), if they were willing to do it. (And if it is a simple change that they could make - seems like something that should be simple, but what would I know…) Then the question becomes whether they would be willing to do it…

im sorry youre efforts towards your play in siptah end this way. if I had put as much effort into my siptah server game, as my exiled, id feel the same way.
