Heroic Treasures: at least walk faster?

Greetings!
I said I was not going to carry treasures around for too long distances. Even so, I did:

It took me 30 minutes to bring that dragon to my treasure vault (under construction).
Are there plans to let us carry Heroic Treasures by elephant, horse, camel? Or at least to be able to walk faster?

Build a litte transpotory stone nearby so that it cuts down your walking time.

Then I totally misunderstood and though TStones were not allowed for Heroic Treasures .
Thank you, good hunting!

That said, it’s really a good suggestion. Slowly walking with a treasure is no fun at all.

Or just fill it up with gold bars . But i guess thats not really the fun part of the new system . They should allow you to attach it to a horse .

Thats crazy I’m pretty sure I don’t want purge that bad. Nice video I believe there was some cussing warranted in the background.

Just out of curiosity, I checked the movement speed on it (and added it to the wiki).

Carrying a heroic treasure is 240.
Normal running speed is 450, encumbered is 135, sprinting while encumbered is 232.
With Quickfooted, these become 495, 149, and 255.

So carry speed is slightly faster than normal sprinting while encumbered, but slower than encumbered sprinting with Quickfooted, but it does not drain stamina like sprinting while encumbered does.

Sadly, Quickfooted and Beast of Burden have no effect on carry speed.

I think, if we aren’t given an option like loading a heroic treasure onto a horse, at least bumping up the carry speed to 270 (60% of normal run) as well as giving some sort of benefit from Quickfooted and Beast of Burden would be nice.

Shhhh…
Don’t point out that the infinitely more efficient way to interface with the new system is to use the old resources.

As far as teleporters…
The elephant in the room (the one that easily fits in our cloacae without encumbering us) is the building spam that maneuvering all of this unbelievable burden back to base encourages.

Possibly not a horse, but one for rhino or elephant carry-mounts? Perhaps (one day) a player will be able to chain a couple of carry-beasties into a trade train. These, of course, would have a percentage chance of attracting bandits. Fun all round.

This would of course become swiftly exploited and likely be glitched into A’Tuin-styled carriers of burdens/dwellings/castles.

So I see a bunch of reports that teleports (I assume the sorcery ones) work with large treasures, but we cannot get it to work. Every time the treasure is gone on arrival. The only thing that works for us is walk the thing all the way back.

It used to work, at least. It worked the last time I did it, but that was several days ago, and there has been a hotfix since then. Either they patched it out (without writing it in the patch notes), or it’s something on your end.

Are you using any mods?

A cart for the horses would be great. Slower movement but a little more space to transport resources and treasures. The transported stuff could also be visible on the cart, that would be nice.

Yes, I think that was the intent, and teleports (fc said) might or might not work…

Exactly. I now have more than 3.5 million gold and silver, and ignore or throw away everything else. There is only a chest in the room, it will be convenient to defend it.

I counted up how many heroic treasures I have brought back home, and got 56. Every one of them was teleported. I have never had any issues with teleporting heroic treasures.

Also still working post-hotfix.

This one is still amused that we have, in this game, slaves whose specific job is to carry stuff.
Bearers.
And yet, there they sit, with their finger and their thumb in the shape of an L on their forehead, while their long suffering master must toil, lugging the loot around. By hand, because their cloaca is stuffed with a full grown elephant and a tiger.
Truely the master was the loser all along.

Riveting game play here, constipated walking with a cat statue.

This made me laugh so hard.

@Deceti, I just teleported with the cat a couple of days ago: Twitch
It worked just dandy!

I do not know about elephant, horse, camel or even rhino but I do believe the devs did say they will allow thralls to carry them. Also that enemies will randomly spawn to attempt to take the treasures from you (and you can go back there to fight them again should they in fact take the treasure and attempt to regain it).

However, as @Harperson mentioned transport stones make the walking fairly limited.

Also, the smaller treasures are pretty easy to obtain and they just go into your inventory thus you do not need to walk around carrying them. Between those and gold/silver bars / coins / dust you can easily build up your treasure horde level.
