Give them a large treasure slot that allows them to carry a large treasure on their back! It’d give them the perfect niche and fit the desert treasure hunter vibe!

Hey, that’s a good idea.
Maybe give the dedicated Bearer thralls the same ability, to justify their existence now that they don’t have loads of hitpoints anymore.
The biggest issue with large treasures is that they’re not worth the trouble of collecting because it takes two hours to get one back to your base.

The way it is i believe that a saddle that can carry the heroic treasure instead of us would be the best solution. Heroic treasures are not items that fit in inventory so far, so their mechanic should totally change.
I also like what @Kapoteeni suggested, a backpack that will allow the bearers to carry it.
Yet this will eliminate the speed devs want someone to walk while carrying the heroic treasures. I believe that the random attacks while carrying this treasure will return.
My workaround so far, but only because i need their gold, not their decoration, is to carry with me shaped wood and reinforced iron, i place treasury chests close to the spawns, so i won’t have to carry them for long distances. The account cash the treasure in coins and i get the coins and dismantle the chest. This way, in a simple round you can take over 30k gold coins in a couple hours max. If you have tp stones it’s less, way less and you can carry the statues anyway as one piece.
All I can think of is Nodwick.

That is probably easier said that done. It’s an inventory item that is selective in whose inventory it is in and how does anyone thing we can pull it out of the saddlebag from an inventoried item to one that is now carried and requiring placement? Hell how do we switch from carried requiring placement to something we can put in an inventory?

I’ve been suggesting a cart with something like 4 slots for treasures. A bit slower than only a mount of course so you couldn’t get away from a rider that easy. Also a prisoner wagon for knocked out thralls would be great so you could transport them to base 3-4 at a time. These kind of updates i would appreciate instead of all of the nonsense that’s been happening in the past few years.

No i didn’t mean to become inventory item, i meant to have a saddle that i place it and it’s visible. But after i place the treasure on the saddle, i cannot hop in the camel there’s no room for me too.
For the bearer, he will carry it on his back, but only if he wears this special back pack. The treasure will still be visible.
