How much money have you already spent in the ingame shop?

Yep im afraid too… next BP may cost… 1201 coins, or they gonna lock it from single player\ private servers, so people cant rush BP and forced to spent coins instead
after locking skins from looting (in the game about looting) who knows what surprises we gonna get…

Yep, I agree. Been playing Sims with my daughter for a bit, and while I haven’t bought any of their stuff either, and bearing in mind the base game is free (I don’t much like EA), it at least feels more reasonably priced. Not to mention the selection is huge.

I bought the battle pass and wanted to buy the banquet but laughed when I saw it was 1800 crom coins. Who are they kidding?

Zero.

Picked up the battle pass, but that’s it. Spent nothing in the shop. There were a few things I would have liked, but as soon as I saw the price tag I just closed the window and intentionally forgot the shop even existed. The prices are so high that I don’t even bother looking to see what’s in there.

Some 35-40 years ago, my mom and my little brother went out to look for some furniture for his new apartment, he was ready to leave the nest, I already had moved out several years before so I went with them help him decide what to get
We had been to several furniture stores and he still hadn’t decided what to get besides a bed, and suddenly I remembered having seen a furniture store that we hadn’t been to called “Haungaard”, yes the name may sound a bit weird for many of you, but I am danish, so the name of the store actually sounds like a family name.
Anyways we decided to check it out, we discovered pretty fast that this was no ordinary shop, everything in there was designer stuff in limited production amount and the prices were… let’s just say that most price tags had 4-6 numbers.
He had a budget of 20000 DKR(roughly 2676 USD), most of the furniture in there cost more than his whole budget, but instead of leaving we decided to see what the cheapest furniture would cost, and we found some sort of newspaper/magazine basket with a price tag of nearly 300 USD, we had a good laugh when we walked away from that store, my mom was mumbling that you could buy a whole house cheaper than the furniture in there, but it was fun to browse a store where we couldn’t really afford anything with our average income, just to see what people with more money than they know what to do with buys

I sort of felt the same when I saw the Bazaar in CE, I mean yes I could buy some of the stuff, and I really wanted some food to put on the table, and yes I was sort of willing to maybe make an exception and pay more than I ever wanted for a few items, and then I saw the price for these 8 items… 2760 1794 crom coins… ??? … ???

I felt like I was in that luxury furniture store again with some nice looking designer stuff, but I also knew that I would hate myself spending such a big amount of money on a few decorative items when there are so many games I really want and some are even on sale for less than those few items… It really puts things in perspective… While I can afford it, I most likely wouldn’t feel that I got value for the money

Oh and before I forget, I have bought all the dlc when they came out and only the battlepass after 3.0, I do not expect to spend any money in their Bazaar with their prices
I have often seen people saying that the old dlc were way too cheap, and yes they were fairly cheap and offered a good amount of items, but I also saw someone else mentioning a game like the Sims which offer a huge amount of content in even their smallest packs that are priced around 5 USD, and several of their packs also offer a good amount of functional stuff that adds to the gameplay, sooo

I’m just gonna put this here from a 2020 twitter post. Don’t mind me…

Just in case anyone hasn’t seen Firespark81’s latest. Things changed a lot from what was mentioned above.

What’s wrong with the Poitain light pants? They seemed fine last time I made some just before 3.0.

Also I feel like I’m always this guy… but Tencent are probably not to blame for recent changes. They normally don’t interfere with companies they acquire, why would they suddenly bother to order Funcom around? There’s a Ceronesthes video about Funcom’s monetization strategies, they’ve been doing this stuff for years. It’s not new for them, just new for Conan Exiles. See Secret World Legends for example.

I just always feel like I need to say something because giant corporations are automatically questionable, yes. But I feel like people can’t bring themselves to blame Funcom so they blame Tencent the big Chinese boogeyman.

There’s some truth to what you say, but I can’t even “blame” Funcom. This game is getting long in the tooth for more investment. So I suppose new revenue streams were needed. I totally get if some of it is beyond people’s acceptable price point, but I would just do like people do everyday. Make a personal value judgement, and hope for a sale if you see something you want but can’t justify the price it is today, just like every other leisure spending. What I don’t really “get” tho (I get it in terms of I can predict it, but I don’t get that it rationally happens) is constant complaints about the price in the forum. Its to me like hanging out in a Prada store and complaining to the staff about the price… or even hanging out in Whole Foods and complaining about the price… it just doesnt do anything. Market forces will settle it out.

Some good points by yourself and @Firecrow

Just a point worth considering tho, part of Market forces are customer opinions which is what this thread is trying to establish.

To be brutally honest, they don’t really matter. I think BMWs are a waste of money and not worth the price. Does that get BMW to change their cars? No. They make enough money that they don’t care what I think. If they weren’t making enough money, they wouldn’t need to ask or hear what I have to say; they would know that customers dont see value in their product. That would mean lower the price, or improve the quality. My amateur opinion about BMWs is not really important. I didnt buy one; that’s all that’s important.

True, your solo opinion may not make a difference but a collective opinion by their customers could be a different story.

It’s what we see sometimes that makes us assume! Before Tencent a dlc was costing 10€
With Tencent it can touch 100€:rofl::rofl:.
Nobody knows exactly what’s going on and trust me, it’s better this way. We are here to play, share, have fun! So I will speak no more of it, not my business, I have my own issues . We have to meet one day and do something stupid m8 to have fun .

Only the Battle Pass currently.

In the words of Todd Howard: “It just works!”

Well the Dev stream mentioned adjusting the shop prices so maybe this thread helped Funcom get the feedback they needed. :slightly_smiling_face:

Wait, the Yamatai armor bug is still there ?! It’s been well over a year now…

That’s not true. isn’t it?

i have spent $0.00 to date.

The Bazaar prices are too high for me to consider purchasing.

I have been patiently waiting for the PlayStation version of the game to be made stable enough to warrant a purchase of the BattlePass.

There are 26 days for this to occur, if it doesn’t, I don’t see myself spending any money moving forward.
