Huge lag spikes and spawned in the desert

I’ve been experiencing huge lag spikes. And it’s just in general. For some reason after I died, i spawn in the desert instead of my two spawn points…


Steps on how to reproduce issue:

  1. Play the game
  2. Climb
  3. Fight
  4. Run

this happens all the time now for me. Why can’t they fix the death spike lag from like 3-4 patches ago. Most of the time you cannot get in your choice before it selects one for you and now it picks the desert instead of your bed or roll wtf.

LAG spikes now for crafting stations and large chests too and yes that’s how you know you are dead when everything stops mid combat!

Your character cannot climb right anymore either. He starts and then falls or climbs all the way up and then falls all the way back down. Real exercise in patience!

I’ve been experiencing the same thing. It didn’t give me the option to choose my bed spawn point. Lost all my gear by the time i made it back to my death site. Now i can’t move forward without rolling. Keeps putting me back where im standing immediately after i take a step. Im on the 2502 Official Server. Please fix this…

And for the love of Crom move the encumbrance flag so I can see my breath bar!!! I’m ever so tired of drowning because I cannot tell I’m outta breath.

Yes, I’ll do that. I don’t have much experience getting xbox vids to PC, but will attempt to do so.

I’m having the same issues. The game is unplayable after the update. Huge lag spikes at random, game crashes to Xbox desktop. My follower thrall doesn’t follow me correctly, she just teleports to my location every so often, rarely engages in combat. I’m being spawned in the desert. This is the thanks I get for purchasing a DLC? A patch that breaks the game for me? Come on Funcom. This is absurd.

PS The game is extremely fun but this is why “decay” is a dipstick feature for a game with this level of incompetence in it’s development and maintenance team. When the game becomes unplayable we lose our stuff due to no fault of our own. If you’re going to have a game with decay, purge, etc, you’re going to have to show some competency when developing updates and expansions, etc. It’s not like an MMO where we just lose playing time. We lose our playing time today plus any time we invested in the things that decay/die or are destroyed.

make sure that you have full nudity off, xbox only allows you to capture screenshots or record clips with no nudity or partial nudity. you can change the nudity setting by going in to settings it is the 3 tab so push the right trigger twice and you should be at the tab with the nudity setting

So how long before a patch for the patch or do I shelf this for months again? The game is unplayable and I’ve been playing other games since last patch! I do not have time to do your job recording video as I have my own work to do for a living.

I would suggest playing your game on the xbox one, not one x to see for yourself. I know I should have gotten it for the PC but I like relaxing after work on my comfy couch. Make sure you play pvp on a 10 out of 40 server, because hardly anyone plays the game anymore and a solid 10 means you’ll actually see someone and their bases. It’s sad you can’t play 40 but whatcha gonna do?

We are starting to isolate the issue and the dev-team is working on an upcoming hot-fix that could potentially alleviate this problem, although we don’t have an estimate time for it just yet.

I am a server renter through GPortal on one of the largest PVE-C servers for console. We have had numerous tickets through GPortal because of ongoing issues. Our Discord has over 100 active members and growing. They give us a lot of feedback on what they experience daily. We constantly ask them to report bugs through your support link and I have even done so. The last time I did I received an email from Funcom directly saying they could not provide support for Conan Exiles. It was pretty disappointing to me. I also had previously reached out through social media asking about bugs and basically have not received any help. It would be fantastic to have someone to speak to and give direct feedback with on our experiences in regards to our server. It is a 40 slot server which regularly fills above 15 and even 20 slots. In November we had a massive bug which wiped all of the data from the server so now we are recovering and players are rebuilding everything that was lost. Some of the massive clans we had left but many players have come back.

Unfortunately we cannot offer that kind of support for server owners. However, we highly encourage our players to post any reports on issues that are affecting their gameplay experience. We are aiming to improve our communication and responsiveness towards our community, so any concerns and issues that arise we try to deal with them as soon as we humanly can.
For any server performance issues, however, I gather that you are renting a private server from G-Portal. In that case, they are the ones that could provide support for loss of data and connectivity problems.

:frowning: We have been reaching out to GPortal each time. They have been hit and miss. Mostly miss. They have even upgraded our server to better hardware according to one ticket. Our server continues to lag, kick players, and generally be extremely unstable. I just had to restart it less than one minute ago because players were falling through the map. Ticket after ticket and GPortal responds the exact same way.

We are aware of issues of players/entities falling through foundations and we’re looking into that problem. We are also working on optimizations that aim to alleviate performance problems that could cause lag spikes, disconnections and rubberbanding. Until then we apologize for the frustration these issues can cause.
