Bug Description:
(Apologies - I ran these tests to confirm a report from someone else and can no longer find the thread, so thought I should make it a formal bug report instead).
Taming Hyenas in an animal pen - when they reach maturity some immediately vanish from the pen. Only basic hyenas remain, those that mature into Greater Hyenas vanish.
Tested by spawning 50 spotted hyena cubs and shadespiced raw stringy meat (for 30% chance of greater hyena). Results showed the exact proportions I would expect from previous tests (one or two greater out of each set of five - with some sets getting none and, rarely, some getting more), except that on maturing there would be (eg) three standard hyenas and two empty slots in the taming pen.
Also tested with 10 striped hyena cubs - same results.

Steps to Reproduce:
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. Please be as detailed as possible; the more details, the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
Set taming time to the minimum
Spawn in Armored taming pen, plus at least ten hyena cubs (either type) and some shadespiced raw stringy flesh
Tame in batches of 5 (should only take a few seconds) (the reason I suggest more than one batch is in case of unlucky RNG resulting in five standard hyenas)
You should see empty slots appear in the taming pen matching an expected portion of greater hyenas

Just because I am curious:
Can we confirm the greaters are actually disappearing out of the pen’s inventory or when? Do 5 hyena appear in the cage before opening it’s inventory (or 3) and can you place 5 new pups - I ask in case they are invisible as opposed to missing.

From what I could see they disappear as the group matures - so it seems to occur at the moment that the cub would be replaced by the adult.
In terms of the graphic within the cage, that seems to match the appearance within the pen inventory - so if three cubs ‘survive’ to maturity, three pens appear to be holding hyenas.
Some sets I removed by using ‘take all’, some I clicked out individually only the ones that appeared present, some I also tried clicking out the ‘empty’ slots. In all cases I was able to place the next five in without trouble, and I didn’t wind up weighed down by any invisible adults.
From everything I can figure out - it appears that when the cub finishes being ‘crafted’ into the adult, the ‘ingredient’ (cub) is removed, and RNG either produces an adult basic hyena, or tries and fails to produce an adult greater hyena.
Yep, that what happens, alpha version of hyena just vanishing from the pen immidiately. Tried with other pets (T1 pen, T3 pen, no diffference) - everything is ok. Got a lot of greather kappas, rhinos, lions, problem is definitely ONLY with hyena for some reason.
I identified the issue and how to fix it, and sent off my results. Went through all the other pets that I could find, looks like only the Striped/Spotted Hyena’s are affected after a quick search.
