Look, I can’t get the stupid bug report form to copy and paste, so I’ll just say what my problem is. I was fighting the San Reaper Queen in the jungle when I died. Freya was following me. I respawned at my bed, and ran to the map room and took the obelisk back to where I had died as fast as I could. I get there and there is no sign of Freya. She’s not even on my follower list anymore. Help?
Have you looked at the last place you put her on guard?

I am sorry to hear that. Did she perhaps take a knee as part of the new upgrade. I haven’t lost anyone recently though I have had some I’d needed to retrieve. @A_fangirl_alone I am on PS5
Are you not able to get another Freya? I mean, doing the whole quests again is…dumb especially considering the 8 hour time restraints but yeah… 
You could also check back at her hut, just in case she went back there. If there are two Freyas there, then yes, otherwise, as @Oduda suggests, schlep back through the recruitment steps.
(I’ve got two Freyas and three Liu Feis - one evil, and two good ones as ‘spares’.)

I just had the same thing happen on PS5. I died respawned at bed and when I was gearing up to go back and get Freya I saw it said she was returning home. It was late so I tuned off the game for the night and the next day she is not on my follower list. The event log says nothing about Freya, (just says Hyborian Fighter II and III returned home but it says that every time I start the game for some reason). Is there a way to get Freya with the admen, I am on single player and would not be above that it means I don’t have to do three more 8 hour waits for her quest.

In xbox single player. I disconnected console from internet. To be able to manually adjust time.
I did Liu Fei quest and then changed time ahead. That worked to skip 8hr waiting.
There is a admin command to skip 8hr wait.
But that didn’t work on my xbox.
Ok see the photos my fellow exile to learn how to use your event log. Play a bit with it, it’s only for good.
So go to settings, press server, press event log and you will see proximity 1000 days passed 7 and all the bellow ticked.
Make your proximity max 10.000, your days passed from your incident and untick all the boxes bellow except the thrall box. Then press submit, you can see it bottom left. On PlayStation it’s square button, i don’t know what console you play, but i am sure that you will be informed for the necessary key you need to press.
The event log is giving you information for literally everything, so next time you cannot find something, or lost something, the event log may help.
If it doesn’t, come back for more m8, have fun.
I finally found an event log that says Freya died so when the game said she was going home I guess they meant to Valhalla.

Once you check logs please comment on if you see anything, just checking if this is a new or known bug.

Freya’s back with her husband now. Uh, whatever his name was. Perhaps he will henceforth be known as Whatshisname.

Hello.
whilst playing the quest of Freya, she dissapeared, after we killed the wild animals.
Also, at her hut, the big fireplace, it always loads in a pink placeholder texture half a second before the real one is mapped, whenever i come close to her house.
potential bug fixes 
Nothing in the logs. I think I’m just gonna have to do the stupid Freya quest all over again
