At At Freya 's quest line on the the step two 's part with the medical ingredients and the mid for hunt animals an issue has appeared .
Yesterday when I returned back to my base and entered inside during Freya 's quest step, she suddenly stopped following me . When I returned to her home to get her back to join me so I can resume or restart the latest step part, the game wasn’t giving any signs of the npc joining me like the first time .
An attempt had been done today ,but the result was the same as yesterday’s attempt .
NOTE:
Since yesterday , below Freya 's name the notification “Returning home” is been displayed .
Also Freya was not reacting to one of the Singeroots which I had visually found while she had reacted to the other two ingredients normally .
I had same problems on PC, durning quest she follow You that mean she react on commands. For me when she try pick materials she stand and not react for anuthing, but if You choose command “com back” move away from that spot and move again, she make another attempt to pick it.
When i had same issue first time (before i order her come back) she not responded i relog game. When i log back she was back in quest starter camp, and when You talk her, quest will continue. At least in my case of 2nd quest fro freya.
I had this exact same thing happen to me in Testlive.
Same quests. The Server crashed, Freya was no where to be found when I logged back in.
She Final showed up at her Hovel. For over a month she was “Returning Home”.
I just gave up.
Another Bug I reported.
Another test live bug they never fixed.
i play on PC singleplayer , did the questline 2 times but everytime after i killed hulda freya runs back to ymirs altar. i talk to her and after that she despawns…so no freya for me
You guys are lucky. I can’t even get past the Stormwatch line. I go there, clean house, grab what’s on the table and when I come back, at least eight hours after she sends me back to Stormwatch. Every. Single. Time. It’s been like that for the past four days.
I’m bugged on her volcano quest. I meet her at the forge and have no options but “goodbye.” It would seem this was bugged in the beta as well. @Kikigirl reported it I believe. This is the first time doing this quest. I didn’t die or anything.

I’m on official PvE #3531. Just how many game breaking bugs are associated with these quests?
I don’t remember if others reported it in Beta but it is possible that it was bugged for some at this stage. I didn’t have problems initiating her at the stairs, it was after that everything fell apart.
I know that it has been reported since release and at this time I am unsure about how to get her to progress if bugged, beyond this particular point.
I wish I could offer more, waiting to hear back from a fellow player on the official I’m playing on, they are stuck like you are last I spoke with them.
Hopefully it’ll be fixed, because there’s not even an option to reset the entire quest and start over. At this point, my only hope is if my clanmate does the quest or an alt character.
I got past where I was stuck. I thought the line where I was rude to Freya was optional. Like “so the mighty warrior won’t be joining me and I go alone”. I thought that was mean since her husband just got kidnapped or whatever.
So I opted for goodbye rather than kicking her while she was down.
I was still able to go to Stormwatch and collect everything. But when I went back to her nothing advanced.
Turns out you need to be a jerk
So once I picked the line about the mighty hero not joining me and the rest of the options, I again collected everything at Stormwatch and could now advance the quest line when I next talked to her.
