I want to Get my own dedicated server

Hi there,

I don’t play the game often but my partner and her friends do a lot. I want to get them a dedicated server that they can play on but I’m not really sure the best way to go about it.

I did some very cursory googling and saw resources for renting servers. But then I also saw the “How to Set Up a dedicated server” on the conan website that redirected me to this forum.

I’m pretty tech savvy so don’t mind getting my hands dirty if required.

Any help would be appreciated,

If you have good enough hardware and inet connection, you can try hosting one yourself. Here is the how-to:

If you don’t want to host it at home or you can’t, look at renting either a slotted server or a dedicated server.

For slotted, I have good experience with ServerBlend.

For dedicated, others can share their experience. It is a good option if you want to run a server cluster or a populated server which will require more resources. With a dedicated server, you have full control but you still have to manage it yourself using the dedicated server launcher.
