Again, you want someone else to do your leg work. And you lead a large clan on an MMO??? LOL. I would have lead a mutiny within a day of joining your clan. Leaders don’t make excuses, they overcome.
Click on that picture and the album has all you need for those chests… Go to town
I wear Legion armor and Telith’s Lament. The bosses whom carry fragments of power are hp sponges and boring.
Since he already admitted to playing solo offline, with the chests and boss killing spree, he could get 18-20 frags per hour. that meacn 5-6 hours of game play would get him the 1000+ points needed to unlock everything when/if he hits lvl 60. that is 1 hour per day and we could kill this thread:) Get to it @Bryan_Skull. I want to see if you actually play this game, or just troll complain on the already implemented suggestion you helped get.
I take them out solo with epic light armor (the encumbrance one), a build that is in NO WAY specialized to combat or anything else for that matter, its almost randomized, but its a build I’ve gone with for a long while now… And flawless serpentman daggers or sword/axe/mace & shield… Hp sponges? Sure… Boring? Perhaps… But, after a while, alot of things get boring when you want to kill it a ton of times…
BUT, with Legion armor and Teliths Lament? You’re more than capable of taking them down, with a bit of time used ofc
At the risk of using a cliché: No pain, no gain. If you expect those fragments to just drop into your inventory without any effort, well, you can just as well use the Admin panel to give you free feat points. Or free Fragments of power.
But as they’re supposed to be endgame content, for Crom’s sake, let it be at least a little challenging for the rest of the world.
OPTION 1:
You know what I did to combat this? I built a tavern with a well, dancers, and a maproom immediately outside the city that anyone on the server can use to rest and resupply. It took maybe one or two evenings, but only because I wanted it to look nice and actually bothered to upgrade it to T3. And this was on an Official where we don’t have the benefit of being able to use Admin mode to spawn-in materials like is possible as admin on a private server or solo/offline game.
OPTION 2:
Now that the alchemist bench can fill water flasks, water really isn’t much of a concern anymore. You simply have the alchemist fill 50 glass flasks, cook them on a stove to make 50 Purified Water, and then use that instead of a Waterskin.
Because the Purified Water seems to quench more thirst than a Waterskin, and because you can carry 5x as much in a single slot, it means that you can play virtually all day on a single stack without running out of water.
As for food, the Relic Hunters and even undead often have food on them, and the dragons are literally made of Exotic Flesh. Even if you’re unwilling to eat that, just a short distance outside the Unnamed City there are scorpions, rhinos, crocodiles, and gazelle on virtually all sides that can be killed and cooked, and plenty of shrubs that can be harvested to make gruel. Remember: you can pick-up campfires now, and UC is full of dead trees for fuel.
TLDR; If someone is still struggling with such easy basics like food and water, then they are not ready to take on the the Unnamed City. They either need to level up, or rethink how they approach the game mechanics.
You don’t sound like the target audience for this game. Maybe you should try something easier rather than relentlessly trying to dumb down Conan Exiles.
Go look up my ps4 trophy list. If you need proof of my Conan Exiles gameplay.
I had to spawn in star metal. Offline single player mode can’t naturally get star metal ore.
-Snaps my fingers. Four skeletons place you back on the cross.-
Enjoy your pain. Admin commands are disable for none host clan. I shouldn’t have to use admin commands to enjoy the game.
If you think about it. Fragments of power dumb down the game. The logical reasoning is to add more feat points per level up.
Barbarian smash face.
Barbarian eat shards.
Barbarian smash more faces.
Barbarian eats more shards.
Ah, so what you really want is for them to go back to how it was before with no way to increase feat points.
All this begging for more feat points was actually just satire against them dumbing down the game.
We all fell for it. You got us.
I was being nice, no where did I say anything mean to OP…
As Tephra said, killing bosses are super easy if you gear up right… I use medium armor and the best Sai weapon with a Snow hunter in legion armor and a starmetal sword and i can kill them in the same amount of time as they can (this is Offical server as well)
@zerog I dont do that with the dragons lol, I go up and smash em with my daggers and kill em in no time, honestly i think they are a little to easy…
@Bryan_Skull I get 1 legendary repair kit and 1 PoF per boss… the repair kits repair normal weapons as well… I use them on my Sai’s… yes food and water are a must, but they are so easy to get and stockpile (food) that their is no reason it should be an issue when going on adventures…
@WhatMightHaveBeen yep, all this time he could have had the points he wanted easy as…
@Bryan_Skull you dont NEED to use admin commands to enjoy the game… PoF are not dumbing down the game in any way shape or form, there is nothing telling players that they MUST go get the PoF… its a choice the player makes… if you dont want to respec to learn different stuff all the time go grab some fragments and learn it that way…
The new stuff they brought out that you can learn from the PoF are not needed but nice additions again not forcing you to go get them…
as mentioned by other people if you put as much time and effort into conan and collecting the PoF you would have had enough by now… even if you just ran around collecting the chests you would be on your way…
it really isnt that hard to solo the bosses, heck there is even videos people have made showing you the best and most efficient PvE pets to fight the bosses so the work for that is taken care for you already…
I like the way it is honestly, found a FoP on ground, Bosses aren’t to tough. its given me reason to do stuff end game.
Cause before, I was restarting my character every few days… I itlest hang on to a lv60 for sometime now.
+10 is fine, and trade in for recipes is nice way to use a few.
I don’t know what I’m doing differently from you, but in my offline single-player game I get plenty of star metal. In fact, it falls from the sky very close to my base near Mounds of the Dead. I just need to go harvest it with some specialized tools.
And no, you shouldn’t need to use Admin commands to enjoy your game. You actually have an alternative solution: go collect the Fragments of Power like the rest of us.
But you don’t want to work for your feat points, and you don’t want to cheat for them. You just want them for free. You’re willing to go as far ask ask for them, in which case granting your wish would put responsibility for that freebie onto Funcom’s shoulders. The end result is no different from using Admin commands, you’d just get the feeling that someone else chose to give them to you.
If you don’t enjoy having to work for your rewards, maybe survival games are not your thing. That’s entirely fine - no game appeals to everyone; they have their own distinct target audiences. So instead of trying to force Conan Exiles into a mold that fits you, maybe you should find a game that suits your tastes better. I mean, I don’t like first-person shooters, but I don’t spend hours upon hours on Counter-Strike forums demanding that the game designers turn the game into an action-adventure game.
Maybe we should JK
Yeah i con’t like onlin FPS or as i call them Fire and Pray Shooters.
I don’t like having to repeatedly kill useless spawns to get named thralls. I think every time I level up a different named thrall should just be added to my inventory. And the game should check to see which ones I already own to make sure I don’t get a repeat. And after I have them all, it should just give me a random named thrall to fill out my collection. This would make the game so much more fun for me…
Honestly, I try to be as nice as they come but I feel if Bryan only spent half as much time actually playing the game as he does suggesting ways to make it easier, he would realize it doesn’t need to be.
I don’t expect a logical response to what I am about to say, but I’ll say it anyway: you lobbied for additional feat points. People argued with you that this was making things easy.
I have to give a lot of praise to Funcom here, because they listened to you and they listened to us, and came up with a compromise. More feat points that are semi-challenging to acquire and require effort to obtain.
Fragments of power don’t dumb down the game, what dumbs down the game is giving feat points without any system of earning them. You should be grateful that Funcom heard your prayers, they care far more than Crom.
I am grateful that they heard our concerns/reservations and found a compromise that should satisfy both parties. So, if you’re listening, thank you Funcom!
Right, but were you arguing against the notion that more feat points given freely makes the game easier?
