Installation from scratch is no longer possible?

Can someone follow my apparent reproduction:

  • Visit the Anarchy Online site
  • Click Downloads/Game Client
  • Download the original client
  • Execute the downloaded file
  • Keep on clicking through to progress

Very shortly do you see an error saying that the EP1/install.exe file is not found?

Which installer link are you using? People often end up on the old AO site and then have an old link to the installer which no longer works.

The following links should still work:

Normal client: (old, stable, recommended)
https://ctrack.funcom.com/ad/?ref=AODOWNLOAD

New engine: (improved graphics, less stable)
https://ctrack.funcom.com/ad/?ref=AONEWENGINE

These are listed on the AO website (anarchy-online.com) and the account page (account.anarchy-online.com).
