Inventory of unconscious player characters not accessible

Basic Info:

Platform: Steam
Issue Type: Gameplay
Game Mode: Online Official
Server Type: PvE-Conflict
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name: 1940
Mods: None

Bug Description:

Inventory of unconscious player characters remains inaccessible to other players during PvP time. Ultimately, you are always forced to kill the characters in order to be able to access their backpack inventory beyond the shortcut bar. See three examples of timestamps in the video.

If I remember correctly, in the very past it was possible to access the entire inventory on both, the PvP and PvE-C servers, without killing the affected characters. Likewise, I also seem to remember that the names (plus clan and ID) of unconscious characters were displayed beyond a server restart - and by that I don’t just mean the fact that you have to take a look into the inventory of the respective character to get the name displayed.

Bug Reproduction:

As far as I know, this situation has existed for some time and is not an exclusively current problem. For the rest see Bug Description.

You’re correct.

I think it was about 1.5 years ago or more now that they changed it so you couldn’t see anything AND the player character name in inventory was “INVENTORY”.

There were suspicions that this was to alleviate living out of body alt account or friend body vaults. Although I really don’t know why it mattered when they did this as at the same time the game became incredibly easy in terms of acquiring loot of almost any kind. Let’s say the suspicions were correct, about 2-3 years too late I suppose.

There is also the possibility that this is to alleviate server load but this is only a theory.

If we could get some clarification on the intentions here it would help a lot.
