Game mode: [Online official] Type of issue: [Bug] Server type: [PvP| Region: [EU]
Somehow it is possible - due to a bug or a sequence of changing ownership of assets (structures/vaults etc.) to have no name being displayed on one clans assets.
This way named clans can hide their assets because their vaults and bases cannot be identified as theirs.
Witnessed this on official 1322 and now in the below named stream on official 1092.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
unknown, maybe a character encoding issue as well insteadof a bug
but watch the unclefat chinese exploiter stream, url is in an undermesh posting
Update: seems to be a character encoding issue - i have some video where he logged out several times, changed language settings and tested visibility of characters on signs making them visible or invisible.
He also used debug console commands in connection with that. Will upload video when i’m sure i got the specific moments.
Updates with cut down video snippets of possible source of that exploit:
What you see: exploiter using various actions in conjunction to make characters visible and invisible on ingame signs by means of:
-restarting the game
-changing language settings back and forth between chinese and english
-changing sign characters/text
-and some debug console commands.
Result: his character name changes from invisible to visible (his clanname ofc remains invisble so their assets cannot be identified).
Maybe this is just him trying to find where his crew of exploiters put his pants in this undermesh base - but i see a possible connection between this glitch and the invisible clan tag description missing on all of the exploiters clans assets.
An yes: while he is loggin in you see tzhe servers he uses to playon thus being infected by his undermeshing - and in case of 1322 also by other clans reported in my initial posting now set to invisible.
hi it might also be something to do with unicode fonts. a bit like on some games, star trek timelines, or steam itself, allows non-basic characters and fonts to make all sorts of funny/quirky things happen with fonts
