the only conclusion is, funcom want the console community to die. its the end of the game. doing 2 weeks nothing and not even acknowledging it is an embaressment. they propably fix in 2weeks-2months but then its allready too late. the player base will shrink even more and leaves only the same 3-4 toxic clans per region. there is no explenation why not 1 employe is communication with the player base. if dana is on holiday, so may it be, but where i am from, if you are on holiday for your job there is someone else who does your job. nothing but emberassing from the whole company.
We got hit with 30 gods from 5 different ppl. Most fun pvp I’ve had in a while. Base is barely standing but we collected about 70 god tokens from killing other players.
A lot of ppl forgot that pvp has always been this way. Adapt or go to PvE.
Just fyi, throw vaults everywhere all over your base. Gods do very little damage to vaults so spamming them everywhere is a great way to counter god duping. Even better if u put them underwater and in buildings.
I dropped 60 vaults and literally logged off while being godded for an hour and they only popped 1 empty vault
We held off around 30 gods, but then they dropped another 80. The lag was insane my ping hit 9999, so there was literally nothing we could do. But Thankfully, all our valuables were already in vaults. Now we’re using the god tokens we took from them to fight back with our own gods. Too bad they live in an undermesh, so can’t raid tho lol
Good to see other ppl utilizing vaults. It sucks but finding ways to survive is core pvp.
My base literally doesn’t exist anymore. Its just vaults everywhere lol
The annoying part about last night was that we kept killing the god dupers so much that they started building God boxes at noob river and summoning as soon as they spawned. Before then, it was fun pvping them
@yaya89 I get adapting—that’s what PvP players do. But there’s a difference between adapting to a bug and pretending it’s healthy for the game. Vault-spamming your entire base because people can throw dozens of duplicated gods isn’t good PvP, it’s just players finding workarounds for a bug that’s been around for far too long. The fact we’re calling that “core PvP” says more about Funcoms lack of a fix than the players.
“Player count is at an all time low on PvP servers.”
And you genuinely wonder why? You’ve just spent the rest of your comment explaining exactly why. Players shouldn’t have to “expect the worst” and build their entire PvP experience around whatever game-breaking exploit happens to be active. That attitude is exactly how you end up with empty servers.
Literally just got back from my vacation so I’m still catching up on all the threads
I’ve raised this issue with the rest of the dev team as they are currently working on a new hotfix for R15.1
I dont wonder why. I know that God duping is killing server pop. I also know that token duping, lightning bug, duping, etc have all happened in the past and had the same effects of people getting their bases absolutely destroyed and quitting.
Funcom leaves game breaking bugs in every update. Exploiting has always been the way Conan PvP works, unfortunately. Immortal barkeepers and bugged battering rams will probably never be fixed
I’ve played through all of those exploits too, so I completely agree that game-breaking bugs aren’t new to Conan PvP. The difference is that most of those were dealt with in a relatively timely manner. This has been left for so long that it’s gone beyond just duped gods
Are you the only one who works at Funcom? Why was this left so long, just because you were on vacation??? Some of these bugs are weeks old, and no word on them at all. Have you all seen the Steam charts and the number of players bleeding from Conan daily???
