I figure it I may as well post this here since half of this game is deciphering codes. Anyone have any idea what this might be? I can’t figure it out and I’ve tried several universal barcode apps that read barcodes, matrix codes, qr codes, and a bunch of other things I’ve never heard of. They can’t figure it out, either.
It’s a 6 x 43 matrix, if I counted correctly.
I don’t see any repeats, reading sideways.
So I’d assume that it’s 43 alphanumerics encoded on base-6, possibly a cypher.
Or something similar
Edit:
Ah, there are some repeats, but it can still be a cypher for letters of an alphabet.
Edit 2:
Sorry, not base-6, of course, but binary.
It’s encoded on 6 digits of base-2, so 2^6=64.
Context might help.
It’s not braille, is it? Not checked yet myself (will later), but it could be 2 lines of 2 x 3 “dots”. I know it doesn’t directly fit with 42 lines, but it’s what it made me think of first when I saw it…
Not much context to give. It’s part of the extras in the physical editions of Cyberpunk 2077 in with the maps. The full page is this: Imgur: The magic of the Internet If it’s meant to be deciphered, then it will almost certainly translate to some phrase in English, a URL, or some set of numbers like coordinates.
Definitely not braille.
I’m wondering if it’s a cut up QR code, minus the alignment squares of course. But I haven’t had any luck reconstructing anything usable from it.
