Beastmaster journey does not advance with “feed your pet”. Tried with rhino, antelope and crocodile. Tinkering journey does not recognize I learned Apprentice Weaponsmith. It then asks to make simple repair kits which is at apprentice level but journey asks you to learn “Weaponsmith” which has level 39 requirement.
Potionmaker-recognized gold nugget removed from chest for ‘aquire gold’ step, will not recognize silver nugget from same chest for ‘aquire silver’ step.
Greetings @Gredur ,
Please, make sure that Creative Mode is not enabled and then press “Use(F)” button from under the suggested diet of the pet. That should work!
Put a Thrall in a Bench not advance too
As I am having the same issue with beast master, I have screenshots both before and after placing food in the animal’s inventory - Both with and without mods - but cannot upload them at this time.
Suffice to say that in single player, both modded and unmodded, there is no option to ‘use’ the food for the animal tested on. On multiplayer modded I have the same issue, and - due to several mods being integral to the buildings on the server - cannot/willnot test on an unmodded private server.
This problem is happening on official pve server too
Trying to feed my Brutos with human meat or feral flesh. not working
I just managed to complete this step.
By accident as it were.
I tried using each different type of pet food listed under their inventory, then I accidently misclicked and put some steak in their inventory.
With nothing to lose I clicked use on the steak and it completed the journey step.
Don’t think this is how it should be but it worked.
Anyone having issues with Survivor step not unlockking? I went back to the desert to the starting location but it doesn’t seem to unlock the prerequisite of entering the exiled lands.
Update:
Again on my private server, one of my players mentioned that they had gotten it to work with human flesh and a hyena.
I was able to get a successful feed on a cat with human flesh, and a croc with feral.
The other player and I bnoth tried the following:
Rock on a rocknose
Fiber on a riding rhino, Turanian cargo rhino, gazelle, horse - All to no avail.
I also tried seed and bark on the Turan rhino, with no success.
We were thinking it was a matter of non-carnivores not meeting the requirement, but that does not seem to be the case - it appears, instead, that each individual pet will have to be tested with each individual food, unless you guys (or if you are not part of Funcom staff, the Funcom staff) have a way to mass-correct the step.
Can’t get the High Priest journey to advance past putting an archpriest in the altar.
Could be one of those that, for lack of a better word, “sticks”. I had to place the same crafter thrall on the same station three or four times or so before that journey step was recognized as completed.
Try it with the archpriest. Pull him out and put him in again. If it doesn’t take, do it again, and again if need be. Try it a dozen times, but remember to give it at least a few seconds after each attempt. If that doesn’t work, then I don’t know, maybe get another archpriest or try a different religion? I mean, what else can you do at that point other than wait for a patch?
So far I’ve managed to get all my journey steps to go through, though there have been a handful of “sticky” ones like this. Haven’t done the archpriest step myself yet though. Right now my purge meter is right on the edge of triggering, so I’m kind of leaving that particular journey active until it does. Hoping that one works properly.
Yeah, I thought that was weird too. It doesn’t want apprentice level. It definitely wants the mid-level “Weaponsmith”.
On putting a thrall in a station-I dropped one in then moved it to the thrall block and it didn’t work. I took him back out, clicked on him in my inventory and direct-placed him in the thrall block and that worked.
I’ve noticed with many of these journeys that the game seems to be waiting for a specific action and only counts that specific action for completion. ‘Put food in a preservation box’ did not complete when dropping a feast in but did complete with meat strips. The above one as well. ‘Acquire gold’ completed when I took some out of a chest but ‘acquire silver’ would not and only completed on farming a node. Some complete when an item crafts and some you need to remove the crafted item to complete. There is no consistency across journeys.
If this is meant to be intuitive for new players I think they missed the mark.
Sitting at the top next to the alpinist and I am still asked to climb to him, yes the journey is active
Yeah, that didn’t quite work for me. I even just remembered that I managed to record it and went back to review the video. These are the specific steps that happened.
Darfari armorer 1, removed from lesser wheel of pain, shift click sent him to the inventory of the tinker’s bench. Moved him from there to the thrall slot. No completion.
Removed armorer, walked over to armorer’s bench and placed him directly into the thrall slot. No completion.
Removed armorer and placed him directly into the thrall slot again. No completion.
Removed armorer, went back to tinker’s bench, placed him directly into the thrall slot. Completion.
I climbed Fingerfang Rock, Mountaineer step didnt complete. Went down, climbed back up. Still didn’t complete.
So, just wanted to give an update on my purge journey step. The purge finally triggered and I did get credit for that step. Unfortunately it was a rocknose purge that decided to spawn inside my base for some reason. Never had a problem with that location before. All previous purges spawned outside just fine.
Anyway, defeated first wave, got the message they were regrouping, waited for second wave. And waited. And waited. After about four or five minutes, admined myself into ghost mode and had a look in, under, over and around my base, but the second wave was absolutely nowhere to be found. I can only guess that they either didn’t spawn at all or spawned inside a tiny little crevice under the mesh somewhere that I didn’t catch.
Regardless, never had a chance at the knocking out a human thrall step. Decided to try admin spawning a half dozen or so purge thralls and doing it that way, but apparently that doesn’t count. Even tried knocking one out with a regular, unmodified plain wooden truncheon just in case it was being really picky about the tool you use, but no dice. Guess I won’t get another shot at it until the next purge.
Does it matter which of fingerfang rocks you climb?
I couldn’t remember which one was the correct one. Luckily I picked the right one. It progressed right as I got just before the top.
Once you get higher up you’ll see some smoke. There the one to climb
