Liu Fei's ritual cannot be performed, buttons grayed out

Bug Description:

Liu Fei’s circle of power does not accept its contents. The ritual that is supposed to be performed as part of his main quest, cannot be performed since the ritual buttons are grayed out even when correct ingredients are added. The circle does not accept either devil’s bonemeal or the black lotus. I talked with both Liu Fei’s.

EDIT: I have found the cause: if you have started Freyas questline at the same time as Liu Feis, the problem appears whenever you are required to hand items in or use items such as Liu Feis circle of power. This works both ways, Freya or Liu Fei, whichever questline you started second will have issues. The questline you started first is the only one that can progress.

Bug Reproduction:

Start Freya’s questline. Reach the part in Liu Fei’s questline where you are supposed to burn either devil’s bonemeal or black lotus at his circle of power. Talk with both the Liu Feis. Add the materials to the cauldron, observe that the ritual buttons are grayed out.

I got the same issue, the workstation (circle of power) is completely empty in the rituals window even though the required items is placed within the inventory of the circle of power. There is no icons to click and choose :frowning:

I have same problem :pleading_face: have the ingredients but craft button is greyed out. PlayStation

If i remember right from some if the beta testing chatter, the player needs to be corrupted.

That said, i haven’t touched the new companion content myself, but i thought it was worth mentioning.

I cannot complete the ritual.
I’ve tried without corruption and with corruption.
I have completed Freya challenge.
The ritual does not show up.
I’ve completed all the steps and it has been about 24 hours. I talked with both of them and they told me to complete the ritual.

Hm, i done Liu Fei quest yesterday on official PVE server and it progressed for me. Not know if help but for me work with this conditions:
-as i was encumbered i load off my stuff to chests nearby, only have on me around 20% weight with Devil’s Bonemeald in inventory
-in ritual cauldron there was only pack of Black Lotus Flowers
-i had no follower and no corruption

I had the issues where the rituals didn’t appear at all. I’m on a single player instance, and it turns out that “unlock all recipes” (which I had checked) prevented the rituals from showing up in Liu Fei’s circle. Untick that in the admin panel, and everything is golden.

There is a bug if you are running freya quest in parallel , you are not going to be able to do it until freya quest is finished.

Im permanently at max corruption anyway. I RP a sorcerer.
If the opposite were true, that might be an issue.

Im trying to do Freyas quest but its non-trivial finding all those corrupted beasts.

I also had to mess around with it a bit but it started working when I went from over-encumbered to not, by removing enough stuff from my inventory. Some of this stuff feels like just jiggling around or kicking the vending machine until it works lol.

Im not encumbered, and just recently I managed to finish Freyas mission so she went into the “resting” phase of her storyline. Liu Fei’s circle still doesn’t accept the black lotus.

To add insult to injury, Liu Fei’s red avatar showing up at each of my bases and yelling because Im not doing his mission is REALLY starting to grind my gears.

I’ve also tried all the things to no avail, I’m playing single player with co-op and the ritual are not visible for either of us, his ghost only ever yells at my friend though

Ive heard that entering Kuraks dungeon doesnt work either. I assume its related.

I confirm what was said before: this bug is caused by having Freyas questline active at the same time when you are trying to do Liu Feis quest.

Today I finally managed to finish Freyas questline and unlock her, and immediately after I could go do Liu Feis ritual.

That didnt fix it, my liu fei quest still wont accept black lotus to burn. This sucks.

It is not working on official servers.
