Bug Description:
A clear and concise description of what the bug is.
The Truncheon supposed to be one of the best Truncheons ingame, it deals Less with and without a blunted fitting than a Steel Truncheon, which is bonkers.
Anyone saying that theirs is fine, You must try it out again and confirm from today and not from 2020!

Step 1 get lovetap

Etc. use Steel truncheon instead and Salvage lovetap
It’s fine to unstuck npc and thralls. I use for that, not as truncheon.
Most usefull use i found for it. There are also the heavy and reinforced truncheons to knock out.
Use the Blunted Javelin for yourself (only light combos -otherwise you throw it away). Lovetab is mainly for followers, good because of the knockdown combo (haven´t tried lovetab lately, but it was 2nd choice after the javelin). And yes, its weird.
I find it to be a wonderful weapon, it’s my go to to give my thrall when hunting for more thralls. The knockdown alone makes it really good at mitigation and unlike truncheons you have a full set of attacks with and without a shield. Truncheons just have the single combo
@Optical_Optimus your whole argument seems silly and naïve to me. The Lovetap must have lower concussive damage output than other truncheons for several reasons or it would be stupidly OP.
First of all, it is not a truncheon, it’s a 1h mace. This gives it a 6-hit combo just like all maces. If you give Lovetap to your thrall, he will KO a T4 npc within a few full-combos. If however, you were to give your thrall a steel truncheon instead, he will only be capable of 2-3 hit combos (just like all truncheons) and therefore take longer to KO the npc. A Lovetap is putting out more concussive damage per second than any truncheon for this reason and is rightfully dealing less concussive damage per hit because of it.
Secondly, just like all maces, it can be used from horseback (unlike a truncheon). Dealing the same concussive damage per hit as a truncheon from the safety of horseback, would be stupidly OP.
There are many good options for dropping an npc. Reinforced Steel Truncheon, Szeth’s Truncheon, Blunted Javelin and Blunted arrows are ALL great choices and have certain circumstances where they outshine the Lovetap, but not by much.
The Lovetap still remains my personal favorite and is rare enough that I feel truly sorry for you if you actually did melt yours.
I agree with the benefits you just said , you are correct , still love tap use to be more effective and this is the point that @Optical_Optimus try to focus in this thread , plus I believe that he already knows all the other options we have for knocking down NPC’s . We must not forget the rarity of the legendary mace and the difficulty to be gained , we have to kill a world boss to gain it and open maybe 50 chests , so with this calculation of difficulty it must be at least the way it was or better , not worst for sure . But what can you expect sometimes when you see a Teimos ending a better thrall from a Dalinsia or a Spinas , decisions decisions my dear Optimus from our beloved Devs , all we can do is wait for these decisions to change , because they will , they always do .
