So I rented a server and been playing for a few days, myself and my friend decided we would try some mods as I’ve reached level 60 (level 300, better building and mini-map mod)
I can join the server and the mods work fine, my friend on the other hand gets a MOD Mis match error and cannot join.
I have added the mods via the server host (Nitrado) which imports from Steam, and downloaded the workshop mods via a website to get the files are we are playing on Microsoft pass.
We have both done the mods folder on windowsapps, we’ve both done the modlist.txt, works fine for me but not for him…
Yeah xbox game pass its broken, mods works like 10% times, people report me that they have the samy info playing from microsoft shop, so rip, every guide on yt dont work, so buy game on steam will be faster
I assume he’s tried re-ordering his mods via the launcher? That’s the only thing I can think of. Also, make sure that he’s downloaded the most recent mod updates to his PC.
Thanks for coming back to me, unfortunately the games pass version doesn’t have a launcher, so the mods have to be done correctly lol. As it’s also on the D drive (the Microsoft C drive BS is irritating still) there is no Mod selection on the menu.
I’ve noticed that if you make modlist.txt “by hand” it doesn’t work (Nitrado server as well, it didn’t work for my friend). Your friend should try to delete all the lines from his modlist.txt, subscribe to all the mods through Steam workshop and enable them via game client.
