I crafted one of the twitch-drop-watcher beds on a Coop-world of a friend and said friend could not use it as a respawn point. The bed on the one hand shows her name as bound to, but whenever she presses “e” on it it doesnt update her bed location. And when she died she just landed on the strand again (we played on siptah). Any ways to fix that?
I think it is tied to owning the DLC. I made some things for my brother who does not have it and he couldn’t use it either. I think he could use the chair but that was it.
The twitch drops were not part of a DLC were they?
Is your friend able to pick up the bed and reset it?
May need to pick it up and give it to them first.
Most likely it is a co-op issue. My alt account uses a twitch bed, and that account never did the twitch drops but the bed works fine for that account.
We will try that!
But that would be entirely counterproductive, right? They should fix that then.
No, but the game probably treats them the same way as DLC items.
This is a minor problem that occurs with many beds, in that it will not update when you try to tag it (press E) as your respawn point. I don’t know what causes it, it happens to me on a regular basis, not all the time, but frequently. The way to get around it, is to pick up the bed and then put it back down again. The reason why we tag different beds on a regular basis, is that we have several bases and when spending a couple days at a different base, it is best to tag that bed.
It’s not that we jump around from bed to bed, lol.
I don’t think it is DLC related, I see it happen with cots, regular beds and DLC. It could be mod related, but all we have on our servers are Compass/clock and Level 140, so I don’t think either of those would do it, but you never know.
Your right, they should. One day I think they will. Probably not a priority right now.
It’s not a really big deal, having to pick the bed up and then put it back down again. Inconvenient, yes, a game breaking bug, no. And considering it only has to be done every now and then, it is livable.
I haven’t verified this for truth but it seems like a safeguard.
Back in the day you could bind to everyone’s roll, and mess up everything. Heck you could even bind to an NPC bed and kill the server.
I remember that, it was so annoying coming across someone’s bedroll in the wild and accidently binding to it when you just wanted to see who owned it.
Well on our singleplayer games or even on the server we rented in the past we could willy nilly switch beds between each other and other friends. Idk about that
Well Idk. She doesnt have the dlc (or any other) but beds should be shareable right? I mean I bought (or waited on twitch in that case) those items to share them with my friends. Shouldn’t one be able to use the dlc items without owning the dlc? I mean I understand they cannot repair those items and have to wait for me to do that for them.
I don’t know if that is a normal limitation for beds or if your situation is something else.
You can give DLC items to your friends, but there are some limitations on them. Like if you give them a placeable decoration, they can put them down, but they can’t pick them back up.
You can switch beds and bind to one that is someone elses, but that ends the other persons binding to it, as far as I know. My wife would be bound to the large bed in our base and if I bound to it, it would unbind her. As a solution, I set up a little cot in the corner. I would bind to that and then log out on the bed with her.
Lol, there are all kinds of funny things and jokes to say about that. All I have to say is that it is a good thing that CE doesn’t have a craftable doghouse.
