I wouldn’t bother. Several people have explained this on several different occasions, in direct replies to people who say that Purge defense is not an issue, and those same people keep saying the same thing over and over again. Right now I’m really discouraged by that attitude…

No, it was removed because it was taxing the server performance. I can’t find the link to that right now, but that’s what Funcom said.
It makes sense, too: it worked by periodically searching for all thralls in its radius and checking their inventory for food. In other words, it was implemented very inefficiently and then they didn’t have resources to fix it, so they yanked it. ![]()
An idea I came up with is barracks or garrisons for thralls. It would be a placeable that would allow players to store a limited number of thralls per barrack. how it differs from ark would be that when a thrall dies another is automatically summoned from the barracks. So a player can have as many thralls as they want, but only a certain amount is placed in the world. IMO if Funcom wants to limit the amounts of thralls a player can have, then they should make thralls smarter and give us the ability to give them commands to make them more effective. Right now they A.I can’t even negotiate stairs or find a doorway LOL.
also how about adding more placeable siege weapons to help defend large bases.
There’s already a recent post about that in the Suggestions forum. Long story short: @Ignasi said that the devs considered that idea and discarded it because it would be taxing on the server.
From that point on, the discussion devolved into speculation about how exactly it might be taxing the servers. Suffice it to say that there are some plausible guesses about why, so we can keep wishing for that system all we want, but we won’t get it ![]()

For me thralls are just to slow raiders down so clan can gather make it a fight not a raid thats where numbers come in without them you will be raided b4 you can get back to the base
I totally agree with you, that is what i am saying the whole time, i am not on the fence about the limit, i just want to be able to store the ones i really don’t want to loose!

Okay, first of all, it’s been explained repeatedly that it’s not a PVE vs PVP thing, it’s a problem on all kinds of servers. Here’s an explanation. Second, you won’t achieve anything positive by cussing in the forums.
I think most people get in to this game for the fantasy of building a great fortress with an army protecting it now the dream is dying i.e the game
well funcom gathered all the stones for thanos and instead of 50% for me its 95% of my thralls/animals
Truth be told, Bone, I need only one thrall following me to defend against any purge. As far as PvE goes we aren’t using thralls for defense purposes except in very rare cases. Those of us who have been here since pre-launch have long ago turned to building and collecting thralls during those times when new content is lacking, which truthfully, is often. So now, what is being tossed about is only 55 thralls… I can collect those in a day if I bust my ■■■. Building… why? What is the allure of an empty base? If you aren’t building, why harvest, except for the small amount of things you need to wander about and explore. Oh, and then there is exploring… There isn’t anywhere on the map that I haven’t wandered to and last I heard there will be no new biomes, so… no exploring except when the occasional dungeon comes in…
In addition, we are basically being told that the time and effort we put into this game under the rules that were in place means… nothing. You may be okay with being a nomad and defending only one base at a time, I am not. I began playing this game because of the ability to build a kingdom, that was how the game was advertised in the beginning and to change it now with thought given only to the complaints of the PvP, PVE-C communities is rather a slap in the face.
A while back the devs made the choice to allow the looting of bases to continue on some servers and not on PVE servers… I still have no idea what their reasoning was because it made absolutely no sense at the time (and still doesn’t), BUT, it was done. So, why can’t that be a consideration in this decision?
BTW Devs, it would be really nice if you would give is the ability to loot decaying bases on PVE again, if for no other reason than to clean up the map a little faster and while you are at it, you might consider linking the life of thralls within the vicinity of a decaying base to that base. Poof… one goes, it all goes.
They say the game is about dominating u cant dominate a server with 100 thralls, i dont wanna lose all my hard work so i say Unlimited thralls or just cap it at what i have now and dont thanos snap my thralls

Just watching the Dev stream, they have also said that mounts count towards the total cap, so if there are 10 people in a clan, there are actually only 90 available slots…

Press ~ and then the command console opens. Type ‘toggledebughud’ then press enter. The autocompletion should guide u. Then u get an overlayed with some meta info. In the top right corner u see the server performance in FPS.

I have thralls that I have inherited from other clans that gave me their stuff. No idea where they are. I have no way to find out where they are, so I just have to hope that you guys delete them randomly… What a stupid system.
