New respawn menu unsurprisingly bugged

Basic Info:
Platform: Xbox Series X
Issue Type: Gameplay
Game Mode: Online Official
Server Type: PvP
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name: Multiple servers

Bug Description:
Can’t choose spawnpoint on the new spawn screen. If I have a bedroll placed, then that is only where I can spawn. If I have no bedroll placed then I can only spawn on my bed. There is no way to select which spawn point you would like to use.

Bug Reproduction:
1.Die 2.Try to choose respawn point 3.Fail to choose spawn point. 4.Repeat steps 1-3 incase you missed something obvious. 5.Turn of game in frustration.

OK so it seems if I have both a bed and bedroll placed I am able to choose between bedroll and desert but not able to choose bed.

Yeah I just did it on PS last night and saw it was working for me but only if the spawn points are active (using dpad). I was going to remark here to get clarification and compare notes.
