"Online Play is Restricted"

Ever since the Funcom Live thing has been added, about half the time I attempt to go to the server list, I get a popup that says “Online play is restricted.” Clicking okay then returns back to the main menu. I can usually just click play again, and it works fine - sometimes I have to restart the game completely.

Someone suggested something about a hacked client, but aside from mods, I’ve got nothing changed at all - The game, and all DLCs (minus Riders, the only one I don’t have) were all purchased via Steam over the course of several years. Wife’s account is having a similar issue.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

It also happens to me, but only if I’ve gone into singleplayer before clicking on online play. If I click on online play right away, it doesn’t show that message.

And no, it’s not a “hacked client” :wink:

I did just verify - I apparently got the base game originally from a Humble Bundle, not “actually” Steam.

I do go into Single Player first every time because the server we play on has a CRAPTON of Mods, and it likes to time out during connection if I don’t do SP first.
