Only get one strike out of an Iron node

Game mode: Online private (servername is AussieAdventures-Siptah-Testlive)
Type of issue: Bug
Server type: PvE
Region: Oceania

Go to mine an iron node and I only get one strike on it instead of the several you normally get. After that one strike the iron node either instantly disappears (no crumble animation) or it stays there and is completely immune to further attempts to interact with it. Either way it means I’m getting a fraction of the ironstone I normally would.

Regular Stone nodes do not have this issue, they work as expected.

Tested with stone and iron pick.

I have tried restarting the server several times. I’ve tried validating my client install files through steam.

Game version 2.3, no mods

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Get stone or iron pick (haven’t tested with any others)
  2. Hit an ironstone node, I’ve been playing in the South East corner of the Siptah map
  3. Notice that you only get ironstone from the first strike, nothing after that.
  4. Notice that the iron node either: instantly disappears after the first swing or becomes an inert lump that you can no longer interact with.

P.S: I’m loving the changes to the Siptah map, all the NPC camps make it feel much more alive!

This typically happens often when the client does not load in fully or the server is acting wonky.

Either rejoin the server or if that doesnt fix it wait until next server reboot. I have had this happen many times with all farming nodes its not the tools fault.

I’ve tried several server and client restarts.

What I’ve found is that it happens to myself and another player when trying to harvest iron nodes around L/M 8 on the Siptah map. The nodes around N 8/9 are working fine.

Yup, the minute I cross into M7, M8, L8 some nodes don’t harvest properly. Effected nodes are ironstone, black ice, brimstone and another player on the server mentioned picks on trees are showing the same issue in those map grids.

Nodes in N 7/8/9 and M9 are working fine.

Could you copy and paste the coordinates?

If you don’t know how to do that, use

CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + L

In-game, it will then let you Ctrl + C and paste it outside of the game.

Coords for some of the broken nodes. I got one swing on these and then they just stopped working.

Thanks for the teleport cords. I am getting the normal swings/resources amounts, so wasn’t able to reproduce that (Single Player, if it makes any difference. Probably not).

However, their breaking animations seem to be wonky in the locations you linked. Iron Nodes, Brimstone, Black Ice in those areas as you reported, I was seeing the same and was able to reproduce.

Hey there,

Thanks for the brainstorming. We have relayed the coordinate of the nodes to our team to see if we can spot something on our end as well.

Just an update: I was able to stand up a new/fresh Siptah dedicated server, connect to it with the dedicated Testlive client, and reproduce this error - one strike on the node and it disapears.

When I load up a fresh single player game, I can fully harvest a node but visually it stays there.
