Did you do a verify integrity of files in Steam?

That will fix this temporarily, however if this keeps returning on its own without any game-updates or anything in between, then you might have some file system corruption / bad sectors on your hard-drive. If there have been game updates in between and it only happens after, then yea… that happens sometimes.

In any case, for now try to just verify files and see if that solves it. Right-click in Steam → Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity of game files… button

In this case, by any chance have you already tried to use the “verify files” option on Steam?

If you already tried that and the files are still corrupt or missing we strongly advise you to reinstall the game completely.

I have buy the full DLC and can’t enjoy it

I keep getting the crash that says ¨Error¨ Corrupt or Tampered Pak File. Please use the Steam option “Verify the integrity of game files” to fix the game crashing. Exit I do it every time but it doesn’t change anything.

I just play this game and crash every 10 minutes

In order to generate an MSInfo file please follow the steps below:
1 - Press Win+R and in the displayed dialog box type “msinfo32”
2 - It should show a new screen called “System information” where underneath it should display “File”, click “File” while “System Summary” is highlighted and then “Export”
3 - Name your file as you see fit and save it to an easy-to-find location
4 - Send that file our way

I a still having the same problem too. I can play the game for about 20 minutes and then the game will crash. Then when I try to restart the game it will tell me I need to verify the game as a file is corrupted, After I verify the game files I will go through the same thing again.

We heard back from the team and after their investigation, they concluded that some “hidden” files on windows might be causing the issue.

The suggested solutions are to reinstall Windows or reinstall the game on another partition.

As Windows might be creating ghost files inside the game location and those files remain even after reinstalling the game. These ghost files are not checked by using “verify files” on Steam as Steam is limited by file size when performing the verification.

I have uninstalled the most recent windows update, uninstalled my mods and reinstalled them, verified the game files.
