Hi, the game says I need to update to the latest patch. There is no update for me to download. Whats up with that?

Why is every patch or update for this game 20 gigabytes? No other game is like this
If I had to guess, since this is a server/local gameplay game, all the files need to be 100% compatible. So a larger chunk of the game needs to be released in the patch to overwrite the changed files.
