Bug Description:

Playing on PC, have one friend joining me in co-op mode. I and/or she keep getting an error that the internet connection has dropped when our actual internet connection is perfectly fine. Using zero mods, vanilla game, no DLCs. Maintaining comms over Discord (and network connection in Discord never drops when the game throws this error). I’m initiating the server and she is connecting to my game. We played today for the first time together and, in the couple hours of gameplay, got the “disconnected” error three times. Each time, quitting to Main Menu, relaunching, and re-inviting, we were able resume gameplay but it’s really irritating that it keeps happening for no apparent reason at all. Have others experienced the same?

Bug Reproduction:

Just normal gameplay.

Thank you for your report. Please follow the steps to verify your game files:

  1. Open Steam
  2. In Library, click with the right button on the game and select “Properties”
  3. Select the Installed files
  4. Select Verify integrity of game files….

If the issue still persists, please share your saved game with your friend so your friend can host the game to see if this is still happening.

It happens to me as well, every time I invite my friend he gets disconnected after a while and I receive a pop-up message saying that my connection was lost and that I’m no longer in co-op mode but in single-player.

I did that some days ago for optimization purposes, got an error and fixed it, but my friend is still getting disconnected.
