Frequent server disconnect

Basic Info:

Platform: Steam
Issue Type: Crash
Game Mode: Online Official
Server Type: PvE
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name: Official #1737
Mods: None

Bug Description:

Frequent server disconnects. Me and my wife both experience them very frequently. We both noticed that it only happens when we are in combat. When we were both in the Skittering Basin cave, I disconnected 4 times in less than 5 minutes. My wife disconnected 2 times in that time. We waited for the spiders to respawn, to test this bug. Absolutely in that cave we experience server disconnects more than anywhere else we were at. Testing further, we discovered that if we let our pets attack, and we do not, we still get disconnected. We conclude that it does not matter if we attack or not. Simply being in combat seems to be enough to cause the disconnect.

Bug Reproduction:

Being in combat anywhere. Much more often in caves on Exiled Lands

I’m starting to think it is a combat in general bug. I had a thrall following and I was collecting sorcerer skulls.

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly how to replicate it though? It could be at the beginning, in the middle or end, I can stay connected an entire fight.

One thing I did notice that it tended to be while only the thrall was engaged and I was not, such as backing off to heal.

Its weird. We were in the jungle killing pirates for about 30 minutes. Neither of us disconnected at all during that time. This makes me think its a location issue. Or maybe we managed to remain ingame because the pirate area had no other player bases or players? Whatever this bug is, it has basically ruined our desire to do more diffcult content out of fear of us dying or our pets dying due to us disconnecting. Truly hope it gets fixed soon, but I’ve read this problem has existed in the past. I’m seeing similar reports from 2016. Thats insane. I have a couple thousand hours and this has never happened to me until chapter 3 released.
