Fixed export dialog showing incorrect server name; single-player and co-op games no longer pretend to have a server name.
Fixed an issue where placing thralls sometimes did not consume the thrall item.
Fixed the name of several Bazaar items that did not match the in game item name. The names of in game items have not changed, just the previews in the bazaar.
On one hand… re-adding the Bazaar on Legacy makes sense. It’s where a lot of the RP’ers are and their mods/servers won’t update into Enhanced for a long while. Those guys shell a lot of money for deco & customization… So, fair.
But re-adding it on platforms that have like such a minority of the players seemed to be an odd move. I wonder if there was a technical reason for it?
Why, if Steam is not planned, did we just have a multi GB update then?
I would be happy to see the return of the legacy bazar with the shiny new sets that have been announced for Enhanced. I would be happy to buy these sets, but not to the point of patching a 100Gb twice to get them.
At this point I don’t want another Multi-GB update when I’m running dual setup. They didn’t enable it on steam and that’s fine with me.
I’ve lived fine without the store since CE:E released and risking corrupting my dual setup is bigger issue for me than the fact I need to launch CE:E if i want to buy something.
I don’t disagree with your sentiment, but the fact of the matter is that regardless of what you think, they rolled out a 15gb update that’s functionally useless on Steam.
Whether they can just backend enable it later on or if they would need to roll out another update, all remains to be seen.
Now, I don’t know what percentages are Windows or EGS customers, but enabling a Bazaar but not for what I imagine to be a vast majority of their players (Steam) is pretty asinine since we’re still beholden to the stupid mod-disrupting updates.
Like some already said, a huge part of the playerbase/ roleplayers that would use the bazar is on steam. bit silly to enable the least used most disliked storefront for pc users (winstore) and the slightly better egs but not the big one.
It being the only place now without the Bazaar feels so insanely punishing for someone who’s already spent so much money on the game and nearly had their collection of things finished from the bazaar.
Removing the bazaar from legacy with zero warning or chance for people to grab missing pieces from their collection has been so very disappointing.
I just wish buying Crom Coins wouldn’t be a lottery whether purchasing even works or not, doesn’t even seem related to the workload on the steam servers.
I’m a developer (definitely not a game developer) but with every company using AI for everything these days, and with Funcom/Inflexion already having Funcom IDs to sync, link, and transfer whatever they want… HOW F HARD CAN IT BE?
I’m not buying anything else, and I won’t recommend anyone else buy anything either.
Countless people have lost access to their servers and their Bazaar items just because they where on a different platform, and they didn’t even have the consideration to come up with a solution for those players.
@Dana I’m really frustrated, and I don’t want to take it out on you, so I’m sorry if it comes across that way. But please, think about us.
I have several friends who only log in now to refresh the decay timers. I was one of the people hoping we’d eventually get our accounts (or at least our Bazaar purchases) back.
Bringing the Bazaar back to Conan Exiles on the legacy Microsoft Store and Epic versions isn’t even close to being good news for us…
Well not even… Like, if you have 12 people left on Legacy that are using EGS/Windows Store (who in the ungodly hell uses the Windows Store? O.o’)… It makes no sense from a money perspective, no xD
That’s what confuses me with this change: its apparent and absolute futility ^^’
Why do we need these useless updates? They make it impossible to connect to the server, because to play both versions of the game, we put Legacy in a separate folder that doesn’t update! Can you please stop wasting time and make Legacy a separate game?
