**Basic Info:**
Platform: Steam
Issue Type: Other
Game Mode: Co-op
Server Type: PvE
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name: None
Mods: None
Bug Description:
Hello, I’ve been unable to use voice chat at all. I don’t get a microphone indicator most of the time when I press my push-to-talk key. Sometimes I do get the indicator, but it doesn’t last longer than a second before it turns off even while I’m still pressing my PTT key. I also can’t hear other players using voice chat, though I can see their characters’ mouths moving.
I’ve come across this issue originally in a private server with mods. I’ve since tried playing the game without any mods on an official server and trying a co-op game and the issue still occurs in every environment I’ve tested it in.
I’ve tried the following fixes based on other posts with this issue and haven’t had any luck finding a solution to this problem:
- Check microphone is working (Tested recordings in Windows and other programs).
- Test if microphone works in other programs (Steam, Discord).
- Ports forwarded to Vivox servers.
- All server environments tested had voice chat enabled.
- Voice chat volume set to max in game.
- Rebound PTT key to different peripheral (Same results on both keyboard and mouse bindings)
- Validated local files on Steam.
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Conan Exiles.
While looking through my logs, this appears multiple times and seems like something might be disabling my voice chat? I’ve looked multiple times but I haven’t found any client-side setting that controls whether voice chat is enabled or not.

Bug Reproduction:
- Launch Conan Exiles.
- Begin a new co-op game or connect to an official server.
- Press and hold T for push-to-talk.
- Look for microphone indicator above hotbar.
