Pets not healing when out of range

My pets are not self healing when I leave the area. Below is a pic of a hyena who tanked the rhino boss near the Pagoda. I had left to do other things for about 4 hours. For the duration, I was at least 4 grid squares away.

The same thing happens when I go to the Pagoda, which is a bit more than half a square distant. As far as I know, no one else entered range, and I was on Discord with most of them.

Vanilla game, no mods, personal computer runs the server, I am not admin.

Edit: On a brighter, but equally disturbing, note, as I was writing the above the pair respawned. Within agro range I poisoned and steel-hardened arrowed them with my 6 greater hyenas holding them in position.

None of my pets took any damage.

Kill boss, loot chest, wash clothes, kill boss, loot chest, make lunch …

Hey there @Jim1

Thanks for the heads-up, we’re sending it to our team so they can look into it.

Thanks, @Ignasi. I have a bit to add which may indicate this is an isolated incident.

Today I returned to the spawn, approaching from the opposite side, using poisonous arrows. After dispatching the two rhinos, I examined each pet (1 had disappeared). Full health.

I stuck around for a few minutes the time before. Two pets were about 3k low, but I stayed until just before another spawn happened, but both greater hyenas were a bit low on health.

Please do not activate the team over this until I have had more time to validate what could be an anomaly.

Not sure if it’s related in your case here.

But i see you’re on pve settings, server.

Experience i made, i have mostly pvp settings, but once while going through my settings i misclicked and disabled the to damage to players structures or what is called in the settings. It’s a checkbox.
While damage was disabled, my pets, especially the greater i had with me this day, didn’t take any damage. As soon, i set my settings like usual, things went normal for me again.

Again, i’m not used to pve server setttings, more using pvp. But still, take a look.

Thanks, @Vattende, I verified the ‘Can damage player owned structures’ is deselected under General in the server settings. I am not admin, nor would I want to make a change that could affect what is becoming a community so testing is out.

No worries, our QA will try to reproduce this bug on their end and if they can’t we’re just going to wait until somebody else reports the same issue with different, complimentary information

Thanks, @Ignasi, and I have verified that it still exists in my case. This was after at least 5 ingame days …

If you need more specifics, please ask.

Regards, and thanks for game

Copy. Anything you need. Although I am not server admin, he can provide and I will relay.

Looks to me bit similar to the low health by thralls we had a time.
They had also a hard time to heal, ever by relog and such. I think it’s especially on smaller servers with low population. So when you leave an area, and nobody is going nearby, the world is half, or nearly aslept. And seems the catch-up timer doesn’t still work fine when you run by after a while.

I’m sure if you move one or more pets to any other location where there are more players around, they will heal. You could test it with one.

Described exactly. My money is on the catchup timer. No one but me farms that boss rhino.

I already can verify if a pet is near a populated area that healing is normal.

Thanks, V
