When giving pets a skin and placing them back in the pen, they no longer eat and produce anything. Can’t find anything on whether this is intended or not.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
Apply Skin to a pet i.e. yamatai fodder to a gold vein rocknose, or totemic fodder to a bear.
Many of our pets died before someone said here that you have to remove them and feed them outside of a pen.
Sure makes sense that they eat in the barn where they were born.
So much for common sense.
Even with a feed box right outside, nope they would rather starve to death
Now pets don’t die in the Pen anymore. There is no timer while they are “at home” and no need to feed them. You may if you want to get some production.
So, what are you supposed to do if you put on the skin and you want the animal to produce? I was unaware putting on the skin was going to cause this problem and have 2 silver vein rocknoses that now don’t produce. REALLY aggravated.
Yeah, that was my problem. I put the skin on two of my gold-vein to test it out and they no longer produce anything, I also tried it on other pets to confirm. I wasted so much gold and time trying to get gold-veins just to have them no longer produce because I applied a skin so they don’t look like peed on rocks.
Yes if it’s a feature then Funcom should give us a bit more notice. But it seems to me that it’s just a bug because of not adding new recipes to Animal Pens for new pet versions.
I don’t think anything has changed. For as long as I remember, once you skin the pets they no longer produce resources. We even have a note in the wiki to raise the awareness: https://conanexiles.gamepedia.com/Yamatai_Fodder. A lot of pople learnt the hard way with their gold-vein rocknoses.
