while building a base, it dawns on me that in the world of conan there would be loads of hidden doors/compartments. unfortunately, every door we have is exceedingly obvious even from a distance.
as such, i would like to request a the ability to add a secret door to walls or ceiling tiles
a hammer would still show the wall named normally
a clan member of sufficient rank could ‘edit’ the door lock
the hidden door ‘lock’ would be ‘pressable’ areas within the panel, like a 3x3 phone dial
the 3x3 phone dial is a combination lock of sorts
to open the door, the user must ‘interact’ w/ 3 of the areas within 5 seconds or it resets
pressing on a wall segment w/ a ‘lock’ would give no indication its a lock until performed correctly
only when the correct sequence is performed would the door open
when the door opens, the panel would ‘glow’ slightly
while the panel is ‘glowing’, users would be able to ‘ghost’ thru that one tile
a user could interact from the other side to ‘close’ the door or a timer would close it
i was trying to stay with something that wouldn’t require much ui work to implement.
glowing a panel is already in game.
a popup for setting the code should be trivial for them.
and allowing the user to pass thru the panel should be as simple as toggling a flag
I would love that, I think the easiest way to do that would be making 2 new pieces: 1 doorframe with the textures of a wall, except for the rectangle of the door and a door with the textures missing, so you put it in the frame and at first look it is just a wall.
i have made a secret wall , its not hard to do it … it just take some time to have it done … check out Thrall war dungeon mod’s secret wall on PC if you can. Its one of my finest creation my friend clean up the code for me and added in mesh changer so that it make sense and logically less item to use.
