Please Bring Conan Exiles Enhanced to PlayStation 5 and Consoles

Dear Funcom Team,

First of all: thank you for continuing to support Conan Exiles after so many years. The Unreal Engine 5 Enhanced update looks incredible, and many of us are genuinely excited for the future of the game.

But right now, a huge part of the community — especially PlayStation 5 players — feels left behind.

Console players have supported Conan Exiles for years. We bought DLCs, Bazaar items, Battle Passes, private servers, and invested thousands of hours into this world. For many of us, Conan Exiles is not just another survival game — it’s our main game and our community home.

The biggest frustration is not even the delay itself. It’s the uncertainty.

Many players would fully understand if a PS5 version needs more time. What hurts is not knowing whether console players are truly part of the future vision of Conan Exiles Enhanced.

The PS5 hardware is absolutely capable of running modern Unreal Engine 5 games. We are not asking for impossible features overnight. We are asking for a clear commitment and a roadmap.

Here are some realistic implementation ideas that could help make a PS5 Enhanced version achievable faster:

  • Release a PS5-only Enhanced version instead of supporting older consoles equally
  • Prioritize stability and performance over ultra graphics at launch
  • Use scalable UE5 features (dynamic resolution, optional Lumen settings, performance mode)
  • Roll out features in phases instead of waiting for a “perfect” full release
  • Start with:
    • improved loading times
    • better server stability
    • optimized building rendering
    • map travel improvements
  • Open a PS5 beta branch or public test program
  • Communicate openly about technical challenges and progress

A lot of console players are willing to be patient if we know we are still part of the future of Conan Exiles.

Please don’t let one of the biggest parts of your community feel abandoned.

Conan Exiles still has massive potential on consoles — especially on PlayStation 5.

We love this game.
We want to keep supporting it.
And we want to experience the future of Conan Exiles too.

Firstly, 100% support. I really want consoles (that can run it - PS4, for example, probably can’t upgrade and needs a feature complete version - the same as low spec PCs can’t run it) to get access to the upgrade. As you say, it doesn’t need to be immediately, but it would be really good to have a roadmap for when you will get it.

Secondly (and this is not fact, just my hopeful explanation) - I hope that the reason it has not been announced yet is due to the costs of certification (which makes a certain amount of sense given that Epic Store and Microsoft Store PCs were also excluded and the also have more stringent rules than Steam). If that is the case, then it might make sense that they would not want to pay that cost multiple times while they try to hotfix all the problems (and you can see from the firestorm in the forums that there are problems lol). My hope is that means that they are waiting for a successful stable build on Steam PC and then they will look into porting that across to other platforms.

Like I say, it’s a hope rather than a fact, but it would make some sense of the situation. You folks on console have been a huge part of this community and you certainly should have access to the upgrade if at all possible.
