Please, I am posting this everywhere and even sent emails regarding this. Funcom please add offline feature available for us! I really wish you guys are listening and that all of my efforts are not in vain…Let my prayers be heard! I don’t think adding offline feature will cause any major harm but it will add to the fun this game has to offer! Please I don’t want to worry about my internet going down biting my nails all night. Like our friendly neighbor once said “With Great Game Comes Great Offline Feature”. Let that sink in funcom…PLEASSSSEEE!!!
Offline play is already available - it’s called singleplayer
on console perhaps…on pc it requires internet connection even for single player…full offline feature would be very nice cry cry
I’m confused, a couple days ago you created an instructional post explaining exactly how to use offline mode on PC, and now you’re complaining that it doesn’t work? Has something changed? ![]()
The game already works in an offline mode. On a PC, the Funcom launcher will not start. The game will start, but it might take a little time to show up. On the menu screen, an error message will show up. Just click on the ‘OK’ button to close it and then start the SP game.
The Challenges, Battle Pass, and Bazaar will not be available. Also, any items from the Battle Pass and Bazaar will not be available offline. The items are account-based, and you need to be online for them to be available.
Nope nothing changed. I just want to have an official offline feature from devs. I have searched previous game patch notes while this game was on early access and they used to have a fully functional offline feature way back then and I would love to see this feature back in action!
I would like to have an offline feature where all gamertags on a console or profiles on a console even like on a PC could share the same map. That way if your family plays and one is good at building one is good at gathering stuff it would be kind of cool you can have bits and pieces of your friends and family wait I didn’t sound right. LOL
I think that was a slip of the yog.
Actually think about it like that is kind of gross. Anyway you know what I meant.
That was a mod to the game. The mod author removed it once the game supported being offline.
This will not happen due to differences in the game platforms. It is possible that it may be a limitation with the UE4 build that the game uses, but I am not an expert concerning this.
I’m talking about like if you have different profiles on your PlayStation all the profiles on that PlayStation can play on the same map.
If you have an Xbox then all the gamertags that are on that one Xbox can share the same map.
And if you’re on PC then different profiles can share the same map. I’m not talking about cross-platform because that gets way stupid complicated.
That’s just my fuzzy thought.
So I got a question. Does offline work on Xbox and Ps5? Because Im on pc Steam and it seems there are no official offline feature available except doing bunch of workarounds. I know way back when CE was in early access, funcom revamped the Isle of Siptah expansion and introduced the fully functioning offline feature along side it. It is very strange to see why they removed the offline feature…I want it back! I think the feature was removed a year ago…
I would show you a screenshot or a short video of console thing but I don’t know how to do that and I don’t know if someone’s even put that online yet that way you can see it clearly for yourself. However unless I’m mistaken I think that you can do multiplayer online or you can do single player or console to console kind of play.
I think you’re getting your timelines mixed up, “back when CE was in early access,” Isle of Siptah (IoS) wasn’t even a thought. However, back when IoS was released, Funcom gave us an offline mode that works, and it’s (more or less) the same now as it was back then. The main difference being that they added a launcher and “online only” content (bazaar & battle pass) that obviously can’t be accessed while offline.
Is the launcher written in C#? Or, is it straightforward enough to convert it over to C#? I haven’t looked under the hood, but I’ve done a similar project.
We can do this already on Steam. Its called Family Share. I use several accounts this way on PC.
I don’t know how it works on Epic Game Store or Microsoft Game Pass. Epic and Microsoft would be the ones to talk to in order to enable it if its not already a feature. The game under Funcom already supports it.
Could a requested feature be the ability to log in offline? By this I am meaning that a player would be able to save their account details offline with verification of purchases and the like being done through steam/epic game store etc. I think that would be nice, so that I don’t need an internet connection to use my bazaar items. Thank you for your time.
The Bazaar and Battlepass stuff is through Playfab which requires an online connection. The DLCs (when on Steam at least, not sure about the other platforms) has an offline function through Valve that does like you suggest.
I don’t know if Playfab has an offline function or not for verification.
It would be cool if they did. Maybe we should see if they have a forum? I’ll do some searching when I get some time.
I am assuming you are a dev (correct me if im wrong). Will this game receive full offline feature or is it just a wishful thinking? By full offline feature i mean to be able to log in offline and start a new save and 2 b able 2 access all dlcs offline. I just want to know a heads up. I guess it would be an easy solution for devs to just ignore couple eager players asking for a simple request and be done with an unwanted nuisance. But I think im not alone in this and there are many players who share the same need I have. I could be just done with this game but I still pester devs and forum BECAUSE I LOVE this game. It is out of love that I ask what I ask. I hope devs understand where I am coming from.
I’m not sure why you would think I’m a dev, but I am not. In fact, I have no affiliation with Funcom what so ever. I can tell you though, that the developers have much bigger fish to fry right now, so asking that they completely rework that system seems like a pretty big ask. I know you claim that it’s a “simple request,” but it really isn’t. I’m not saying they won’t do it, just don’t hold your breath. There’s an entire list of things with higher priority, and let’s not forget that they’re diligently working on the next Age, it’s crunch time right now.
I dunno my lady sense was tingling that you had a dev vibe. I hope they have offline with Dune. So sad you are not a dev.
