Popping in of pink textures

What’s happening - or rather not happening - is that your textures aren’t loading.
You will always get the pink textures until they are finished loading – this is not a bug!

That’s the first UE4 game where I see this happening.
How can that not be a bug/bad coding?

Dunno. Stuff on the screen seems to render in segments. Ground renders first, foliage with a slight delay, animals etc. last. I sometimes see that flash of pink outlines when a creature spawns, but not on the scale like in your screenshots.

Considering your hardware it shouldn’t be performance-related, even though I suspect CE can’t really benefit from the shiny features of RTX graphics cards.

Also, could you record a short video to display how often you see those pink textures and how much time it takes for them to properly render?

This happens to me as well. I’ve noticed it for a while. When I started playing Age of Sorcery, it was there, so not something new to AoW patch. I just chalked it up to slow rendering and some new optimizations that were done somewhere along the line.

The pink is distracting, but honestly not a lot more distracting than slow rendering objects just appearing right in front of you. UE4 games are all crap at rendering, when you have larger builds.
