Problems getting the patch?

Some folks (me, for instance) are having problems DLing the new testlive patch. This is how I fixed it:

Exit and restart Steam. Do not start the download.
Validate your local files twice. Again, restart Steam.
Log in and try solo first. If you crash, do the above again.

I didn’t appear to have any issues downloading the patch, but will take your advice and validate then try solo first.
