Funcom tries to make players go into the northern areas because they are barely populated. Small changes like this force players to go there which makes the players spread over the whole map.
And still no one has a camp up there at my server… And there was already a reason for it: star metal.
Just use a bearer, equip cold armor (at best with cold protection shield) and go to frost temple. You get so much black ice, compared to brimstone…

Exactly. You don’t even need a bearer. We normally just bring a relic hunter and some healing arrows. He’s killing all the frostgiants (and sometimes also the dragon 
) while we harvest and carry all the black ice. I think it’s about 20k per run.
