Bug Description:
Impossible to cast spells anymore
Bug Reproduction:
After a few crashes in the last couple days (including one happening while I was reassigning feat points), I can’t cast spells anymore. I equip the staff, press R2 but nothing happens. I went back to the cave, interacted with the table, I threw the staff and created another one, restarted the game several times, but nothing changed.
For the record, I used to cast spells before the crashes.

Are you sure ? There isn’t a “bug report” category in there, they seem to want those in the forum.

In order for us to access your issue, please provide us the following details:
1 - Do you simply equip the staff and then nothing happens upon clicking it, or is there an animation cancel, or something else? If possible, please provide us a video.
2 - Have you tried this on another Official Server or even in your SinglePlayer? If so, does it occur there too?

sorcery bug
As you can see on the video, I equip the staff, and when I press R2, nothing happens. The attack animation still works though.
I haven’t tried on an official server, and I don’t want to start over another game and lose the progress on this save.
I was farming stone with sorcery before the bug happened.
I’d like to point out how hard it is to farm star metal when volatile glands are almost impossible to get (salamanders have a ridiculous drop rate and imps are invisible) and you can’t cast magic (mass cull specifically).
I’m trying my best here to stay polite and keep my ranting at the minimum, but when you add all the issues on PS5 (rendering, invisible animals, inventory disappearing, core functionalities impossible to use) and the very limited content added to this latest version, the question of what the hell are Funcom devs doing gets more and more pressing.

It is possible for the crash that you’ve experienced to have disrupted something within your game.
Have you attempted to reinstall your game?
So I did reinstall the game, but it didn’t solve the issue.
Then I resigned myself to start a new save, and that did fix the issue.
Funcom really needs to solve those BIG issues on PS5.

So today I died in a dungeon, and the game stayed on the bed/bedroll/dungeon resurrect screen. I tried to log off, but the game crashed. When I came back I got the message we had after the age of sorcery update (something like : due to the major changes, your feats and attributes have been reset). And I had only 1 attribute point to distribute.
This is a disgrace. Funcom should be ashamed to deliver a game in such a poor state, with major game-breaking bugs. I’m done with this.
Sorry late to the party. Casting spells doesn’t work with R2 for me either. Found out you have to use R1
