How close is the purge camp? I’ve had it spawn right at my front door and the commander spawns inside my base’s walls. I had to build a door going into the walls so I could get to him. It’s only occurred a few times.
If the camp is further away, then it may very well be a bug.
Hi Thanks for offering ideas, close not that close, it’s been 2 hours now, I have searched all over place for the commander as I thought, "yep he inside something… " I could not find him. Murphies law, I about to log off and it’s corrected itself. or the camp has despawned. yay!..
Cool… just in case, I recommend you build some sort of door or something to get inside your fortifications the next time. Hard to say what happened, but that’ll help rule out the possibility.
