Can't start a purge, even though there is plenty of space around base

Unable to begin a purge

Bug Reproduction:

Setup a base in my location, try to kick off a purge, and see what happens, I tried to do it multiple times, no luck, it’s not working. I even killed all the mobs in the area, still no luck. See pictures below for more information.

if it is not perfectly flat and like a 30x30 zone you’ll have a VERY low chance of spawning a purge, near 0. this has actually been a huge issue since the purge came out. always put 1 foundation and a coffer down first with 1 gold bar, and call a test purge, before any base construction.

Interesting hypothesis, but it’s not the cause in my case. I did more testing and moved the treasure chest to another location IN THE SAME room, and Walla! It started working. Something else is going on there, so it’s a bug, and should be looked at, especially if other people encountered similar problems.

We have a established purge base that we used dozens of times successfully. Brought some other clan members and it would not work. @stelagel realized some one had placed a bedroll down and blocked the purge. Removed working fine. @Girakul

Sometimes it’s server bad reaction. Not that this ain’t a bug or something they must check, but it’s funny how things work sometimes in this matter of purge.
In one particular spot i have tried many designs and it didn’t always worked properly. So yes @Mortifatality is very correct that purge needs big space to start but in times it’s how we build that prevents it and for God’s sake i don’t mean you did something “wrong” .
To the matter of great space you have to be very picky. The reason is that if the space is not enough purge will withdraw in the middle of the fight, especially on high lvl purges giving you the middle finger .
So try to create purge bases with humongous area around you and options for multiple places to spawn. If you have little number of open spaces around you then it will be like pulling the lever of the slot machine.
