I would like to suggest adding to PvP servers leaderboards to promote competition. Actually, I have two kinds in mind:
Most kills leaderboard: this could include a general “most kills” (NPCs, bosses, players, and total kills)
by character/player name and by clan
Most resources leaderboard: this would include ‘who’s got the most’ (materials and point value per item)
by clan
Both leaderboards promote PvP activity:
The first “kill” leaderboard basically announces who to watch out for (and ambush).
The second “resources” leaderboard basically announces who’s the richest (and best target for base raiding).
At least, that’s the general idea. I’m sure others can come up with other, more creative ways to promote PvP on PvP servers.
And if we use the “Blitz” formula, resetting a server every 3, 4, or 6 months allows for competitions to start fresh on that server every time. Winners announced and competition starts over again. It also has the added benefit of having no more alpha-clan domination for “all time.” Alpha clans would have to earn it again with each “season.”
