Please share your ideas for end game fun on PVP servers

My clan is on 1578, official PVP, North America. We have won the game. Our dominance on the server is absolute. Our bases are many and virtually unraidable. Our countless vaults are filled with every treasure and supply obtainable…

Now we’re bored.

We’d love to have a flood of clans and solo pvpers join the server and challenge us. Hell, we’d even give them supplies to get started. But that seems unlikely, because most folks don’t want to re-grind another toon to lvl 60.

So, does anyone have some ideas on things we can do for some fresh content?

Fight yourself. seriously, build an Arena and hold Tournaments, you might even attract people with it, offer rewards for the champions.
Otherwise join the locust swarm, every populated server attracts even more folks, then people fight it out, the losers leave and populate a new server, the winners get bored and look also for a new server.
“The circle of Conan Exiles PVP”

P.S. Every Base is raidable, some are just more expensive than others.

Too bad you’re in NA. Otherwise I would have asked you to join Clan Wars Season #3 (UK) which will start tomorrow again with a fresh wipe.

I suggest you join a private server which doesn’t allow avatar defense… and has specific rules that challenge your skills.

It’s not only the grind to sixty. It’s also leaving bases and the status of being alpha etc. behind. How great would it be if there were character and item transfers. You could invade a server with a clan in your situation or the other way around.

True in theory, but done correctly the defender can make raiding nearly impossible. The investment will be way out of proportion and success might not be found in a good raid (technical) but in days or weeks of annoying the defenders in front of their base until some of them quit the game.

The amount of “end game content” for the leading alpha who “has everything” is a bit thin. I think no matter what Funcom ends up adding or incorporating, you likely will have eclipsed anything that they come up with. I think most of the “challenge” you will face will be challenges you add for yourself: Go and tangle with Tyros with only iron or stone weapons, etc., offer dragon powder to outsiders and invite them to try and raid you. Etc., etc.

I had been thinking of constructing a sort of obstacle course, or “gauntlet” that you could time players on their ability to get through it / cross it. Complete with traps, thralls, etc. Perhaps the entrant only gets the option of a beater to KO the obstacle thralls inside. Someone else on our server seems to be working on some kind of grandiose maze.

If you’ve punk’d everyone, and you don’t have anyone coming at you (players, purges, rival guilds, etc.), then it may be time to try and start again from scratch on a new server. shrug

Dude, if you’re that kind of king over there, I’m going to have to join after all.

What about an arena, where contenders can win resources like Tier 4 Alchemists? Or dragon powder? Feed the burgeoning raiders on the server, without directing them. And you gain alliances with the contenders all around.

Downside is it’s like that scene in Hunt for Red October where the torpedo is ready to blow, but just wandering aimlessly seeking a target.

Try playing on a server that doesn’t allow offline raiding.

Some of the best PVP in this game I’ve had with 20 on either side where a fight could last a few hours.

unlock all your vaults and let people rob you blind and don’t start gathering any new resources for one week except to build a PVP arena. When you are done the arena then post signs all over the map at key points letting them know where the arena is. Takes some bases and make them reward bases, make it so they can blow their way in and find an unlocked vault full of treasure and bombs etc, and post signs letting them know that you will only defend via PVP and wont retaliate via raiding for a little while.

Plenty of options to have fun as long as you don’t worry about hoarding loot.

You could have your clan members all leave to other clans and help teach people, help them run dungeons for SL etc.

The question I need to ask is: do you let new players reach level 60 ?

Build a large bridge over a lot of lava, and have Mortal Kombat fights to the death. lol

Sounds like you were complete jerks to every other clan on your server and you deserve to rot on an empty server. Who’d want to play with people as toxic as you? Proof is in the pudding.

I don’t think he has been a jerk to everyone else since he argued against the nerf of vaults here on the forums. No real raider would ever do that. If his clan would have been actively raiding and would have encountered a clan with 50 vaults spread around the world he would have had a different opinion on that topic. Probably just became alpha clan by sitting it out in their ‘virtually unraidable bases’ until everyone else left the server.
Just kidding

But on the other hand - hey FUNCOM, this is why you need to change things when it comes to avatar defenses on high grounds plus massively claimed territory. Every experienced clan can dominate a server by following these simple steps:

  1. Build high = no option to use jars and orbs.
  2. Activate avatar defense = no avatar + no trebuchet attacks +additional protection from orbs.
  3. Claim the surrounding 2.5 million square kilometers with T3 stuff, altars, vaults = no jump tower.
  4. Laugh at the rest of the server and become alpha by waiting until everyone leaves who gets bored faster than you or didn’t build like you and got obliterated. Fools!

There should be an AI enemy for the leading clan or clans to fight. Base size or territory controlled could determine who is in the lead. Those clans get attacked by a special purge that increases in intensity the longer they hold their ground.

In turn they are allowed to assault that enemy’s base outside the map area (special map room portal?) and capture vanity items and thralls.

nah, they deserve their boredom. I see one solution for them and that is for them to break up the clan and splinter off to fight each other. Whoever’s the most toxic of their toxic clan can then solo rule their empty PVP server.

Just go to the wiping private servers, they usually wipe after a month or two, and re-fresh the tension of war. Have fun in there and just join your official server time to time to check whatsup.

By the time you and your fellas play there, there will most likely be some new people in the old official server. Don’t touch them, let them grow, let them all get 60, heck even if some of your bases get raided, just store the best things in one of these tough bases and do not retaliate. After a while they will think they dominate the server and more players will join the server, if they get discouraged by your bases it will be a longer process but at the end there should be enough players. Then challenge them all, make them team up by hitting them all at the same time.

This is what we were planning to do, but instead we just waited and eventually we did get players in the server that fought us. Currently we are fighting like 20-25 active players, not counting those i think have given up.

There are really nothing else you can do.

Remove your bracelets. Everyone makes a new character in a solo clan. You then have a 144 hour race to reclaim the loot. Winner takes all.

I see you’ve played Hyborian Rochambeau before. Nice idea.

Got me thinking about immurement. More on that later. :loop:

Has anybody noticed the slick new Heavy doors in TestLive? Great prison elements there. I’m thinking a placeable (slanted roof for instance) next to the victim’s* bed locks him in the tower like Rapunzel.

Why do you assume they are toxic? Did you play against them? Not everyone who plays PVP and dominates is toxic. Stick to PVE

Create a new base hidden in the swamp for you4 clan. Keep that as your only real base. Turn all other bases into dungeones peopke can raid.

Also make a welcome center that helps people level up. This way people can reach higher levels quickly and are not intimidated by your existing might.

The only reason I ever use the Pythagorus mod is for the iron bars walls, to make prisons and jail cells. This would be an excellent addition to the game.

On a server I was in, we would set up little bases around the map for newcomers and regulars to raid with loot in them. (I would grind out the mats and loot myself) This helped prevent people from getting too toxic and anxious and allowed them the challenge of actually raiding without ticking too many others off. We would fill those areas with named thralls and good weapons, so that it wasn’t too easy. Another clan member (the admin), would set up mazes with prizes and enemies inside.
