Question about storage boxes and workbenches

Got a quick question regarding workbenches and storage boxes.

I know in the past workbenches, like tanner, smithy, etc could still be looted by other players on pve.
I was wondering if that changed in the past year.
Would be nice if those workbenches could be locked like storage boxes.

Anyone could enlighten me on this?
If the workbenches can be locked or they are still open to all.

Still open to all, unless ignore container ownership is unchecked in server settings.

Will official servers have that ‘container ownership’ set to ignore?

I hope they do, i would like to have a few things outside to not have a crowded inside of the base
