So first pass didnt see anything except in the blueprints that black ice has 3 parent materials and normal t3 sandstone had 1. dont know if that would cause an issue loading.

I used to love BI but as my building style evolved with the DLCs and the urban sprawl of BI on the servers, I backed away and worked with other styles

Hmm.
So, I’ve been out of the 3D art industry for some time and I am sure there have been quite a few advancements with this.
My first inclination is the 1 parent material may be the skin all in 1 file, which is normal. So for every items face it links to this file. I.e. black ice wall outer face linked to the outer skin portion of the file, then inner face, so on and so forth.
But 3 is interesting. Is it using the same workflow as the other themes? If not, is it using 3 separate image files? Are there effects being used outside of the 3D program effects availability?
Can you post an SS of what you see with both?

Gosh this is so hard to determine and should do as @CodeMage suggested. I could test it in SP of course and will.
On multiplayer though … there’s just so many factors that can influence the ups and downs. Someone logs in and renders their base, my internet while being awesome has a hiccup, connection to the server being impacted, etc, etc

i will, but would have to be afger work. I will ss both base game T3. DlC assets is not in devkit, so no way to compare those.

Sorry for the off topic, but if you have some time to join single player and you’ll start a new session prepare for flash back! The whole map empty on your feet and every single spawn available for you to use.
The battle system, the fights are poetic, your early great fears now bunnies…
From time to time i spend some time in single player. It’s nice to play online but it’s nice also to be left alone.
Do your tests but not before you’ll have some fun first, after all it’s a game!

Now it’s the place where I test builds, how best to destroy a base, weapons/armor and determine if rumours are true XD
