At last I’ve managed to get screenshots of a rare visual bug appearing on the Isle of Siptah. I play single-player modded game, but I remember that someone here wrote about the same visual bug without any mods so I consider it not connected with my modlist.
A black spot appears all of a sudden, grows fast and smoothly until it becomes such as on my screenshots. It changes with camera rotation. Once it was purple by the way. Today I had no placeable light sources near me. I played in Admin mode just testing some building tricks. I don’t remember was I moving or standing still when this spot appeared. Maybe I was turning round looking for the place to put my next foundation. Earlier I’ve got such blacks spots in various other parts of the map - it doesn’t look like they are connected with some specific places or activities.
This one may be based on ur mods… but then again when u say purple, that is visual bug that somehow server sends u info too slow… i have purple stuff all around… about 2-5 min then all visuals are normal but those purple somehow appears only on new siptah stuff, like tower and leyshrine, or siptah ascension… other stuff is good… i think its something same as they have with drowner vault… either textures are broken or too big for normal 2 gb GPU…
got this visual bug several times the last weeks. I play on a private non-mod server.
So its not dedicated to mods
My screen was pitch black and only a restart of the game had fixed this issue
GTX 1050 but i never had black one, all visuals are either too bright like drowners, or fiends, or pink with black blocks, like chess table… only in place of white its pink, and thats for sure is texture error…
It is very rare for me and appeared only after the Siptah update. I don’t know if it appears in the Exiled lands now because I play on the Isle only. Maybe it has something to do with volumetric fog?
Play with settings, if u get that black void once u will get it often, just check out when u get it more or less on settings… should be helping by shorting actual problem… But to talk more, i can say i had something like this long long time ago times when i got my first laptop DELL, after what i went to msi firm… u see lets hope its only visual bug. because dell that i had 2012 i used to play assassin creed game series, and they was too demanding on old laptop , so laptop started to kick in with black void on some parts of screen, later its expanded even when not playing game, later GPU just died from it… and knowing that isle of siptah has some ““new”” bugs like drowner vault or fiends where visuals are like cubes… just hope its not killing ur computer… Hopefully its just visual then game killing ur pc…
So this may be of no use, but a similar problem happen to me in a different game (Bannerlord) and using steam to verify the integrity of game files spotted a broken file related to a specific in game piece of equipment and re downloaded it, fixing the problem. (interestingly, the same thing caused a similar but different issue later.)
