RCON appears to be broken - Solved

Game mode: Online private
Type of issue: Bug?
Server type: PvP
Region: EU

It appears that the RCON is either broken, or the protocol has changed, because nothing I do seems to wrong, even when I follow the steps on the wiki:
https://conanexiles.gamepedia.com/Rcon

The server is updated to the latest version and is hosted by GTXGaming.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Downloaded MCRON 0.7.1 from https://github.com/Tiiffi/mcrcon/releases
  2. Executed this command: mcrcon.exe -c -H ■■■.■■■.■■■.■■■ -P 7778 -p RCON-PASSWORD listplayers
  3. Where ■■■.■■■.■■■.■■■ is the IP of the server.
  4. RCON-PASSWORD is verified correct.
  5. As can be seen on the right of the attached screenshot the server does receive the command, but does not appear to react to it at all.

What is the problem here?

The Web RCON available from GTXGaming on the game panel does work, but is quite hopeless to use, and I want to access RCON locally anyway.

Nevermind, I tried downgrading to the previous binary of MCRCON.exe and that worked.

So, the issue is with the application.

This issue can be closed.

Hi.

I can’t use rcon anymore, even with different versions.
I tried with https://github.com/n0la/rcon and https://github.com/Tiiffi/mcrcon (v 0.0.5), I always get a connexion failed error.
It was working perfectly before the 16th of June’s big patch.
Nothing changed in my firewall or whatever.
Note I’m running the server on Linux Debian.

Thanks for your answers

Since the last patch it works again.
I used minecraft rcon (mcrcon) 0.0.5.

Thanks !
