Request to honor a hardcore long time Conan Exiles player who just passed away

Hi fellow players and Funcom employees. I am here with sad news, a beloved player on 1735, Arya Thorsdotter, passed away from heart disease the evening of April 28th.

I was the first friend Arya made on 1735, I gave her, her first combat thrall, gear, and a mount. She took that act of kindness and spent the next 7 years offering to help newbies and returning friends with the same, and so much more. She LOVED the community on 1735, and it was rare that a day would pass without Arya at least logging in to say hi and check in with friends. When I say Arya loved Conan Exiles, I mean she loved it to the tune of OVER 17,000 hours.

My ask is, Funcom, can we get something in game, to honor Arya? Maybe a new NPC to interact with (but not make into a thrall). Or find her name on a random note found in the wild? She was an exceptional player, and actively worked to uplift the game community on her server.. the exact kind of player every game company hopes to attract. She has many friends and family left in the game, and it would mean so much to them, and it would be a nice way for Funcom to pay homage to one of their most devoted players.

Kind regards,

the player behind Dorian of 1735

My condolences. May Mitra’s light guide her way

OMG… I knew Arya… Such a great person. The mom of the server. Sad to hear this news. :sob:

Have heart

and be glad

she has stepped through that door

and moved on to a greater adventure.

she removed her bracelet,

god bless her (Mitra of course)

When I came to 1735 four years ago, the first person to respond to my “Hello” was Arya. She asked me if I needed anything and offered me armor, weapons, gasmask, etc.. At first I said no thank you, but she would keep offering and asking how I was doing almost every day I was playing. She would always greet me in chat and helped make me feel more a part of the server community.

I finally met her one day in the Unnamed City trying to go through on my own. She asked me to follow her and offered to show me around. She made me take all the drops from the bosses. She then made me some redeemed armor which was the best gift I ever got. It enabled me to do things I had not been able to do before.

Later, when I was in her clan, our daily routine was to log in before purge hours. She kept track of who was due for a purge. When a purge was called out, she would give advice what to do and would ride in on her white horse helping to fight. After the purge was over she would dismount and take time to talk to all there, thanking them for their help. Everyone was always glad to see her. We would stay on until purge hours were over making sure everyone was good before logging for the night.

She never hesitated to help. She hated the volcano because of past experiences but would immediately go to help if someone was in trouble there.

Often during gameplay she would ask “Anyone need anything?”. She kept track of everyone’s progress and would congratulate them for leveling up and asking them what they needed. If she did not have something for someone she would try to go get it even if it took several days. She would offer to take anyone through the Unnamed City or dungeons to help them level up or just for fun almost every day. She was so kind and helpful to everyone. She had a habit of just as we were about to log she would ask again “Anyone need anything before we log?”. Sure enough someone would answer yes, and off we went, lol.

She was a true light and I am so glad for the time I got to bask in her glow. I miss her terribly… :sob:

A Warrior has fallen. May Peace be with Her and my Condolences. Salute from 1504. R.I.P

Very sorry to hear this. I hope Funcom and Inflexion see this and make her a part of the game as you’ve suggested. It would be heart warming to see such a player memorialised in the game we all love so much.

Oh my I knew her i recall her now. Yes she was in my Siptah server she invited me to hang her server to be amongst our age to come and meet rest team. I am so sorry i miss the invitation. I too got sick really bad took me 2 months to get better is how i never made it to her server. No that makes me Sad a good friend i did even said goodbye. Yoou are Awesome kind lady. I will cherish time we hang out together in Conan.

The two of you were inseparable. You both made the server one of the best in Conan. But you’re right, Arya made her time in Conan only for others. A selfless soul will be missed.

She was my friend, I will miss her and the kindness she shared with everyone she met.

They could do something similar to ARK. A few years ago, a player lost his wife and left her avatar resting on a bed on the Valguero map, which was her favorite place. He asked Studio Wildcard not to let the structure decay. In response, they added a monument there in honor of deceased players, with the phrase: “For all the Survivors who have Ascended”

oh-yes-oh-yeah

Rest in peace, exile. Gone offline… but probably still raiding us from the afterlife. :pirate_flag:
Your legend lives on in Conan Exiles

Rest in peace

Your reward was the time you had with this exile. However i support your passion and i also place my vote for your request, but the true token of remembrance will always lay in your heart … to you fellow @Prelate and to anyone who had the chance to enjoy the companionship of your friend.

My deepest condolences!

Condolences and an excellent suggestion

A couple of years ago Arya wanted us to build a memorial area for those who were gone. We did just in front of our base. She often knelt there in front of their shrines and remembered them. One day she asked me, “Will you build a memorial for me when I am gone?” I replied, “You can never leave and I don’t ever want to think about it.” She laughed it off and we never discussed again…

Well now I want to honor her as best I can. Arya, my sweet friend, I hope I have honored you as you would like. I hope you are pleased…

" You may be gone from my sight, but you are never gone from my heart."

My condolences, this is devastating news.
I think we can absolutely honor Arya is some way.
