The entire server gets 8 plots period?

Just so everyone understands… that’s one large base, one medium base, and two small outposts in CE terms. And everyone on the server has to share those buildings. To make sure its clear, that’s for the entire server, not per person or per clan.

That castle I recreated in Enshrouded myself, and it took all 8 plots to setup (since you don’t get a means of measuring what a max size plot would be. In the end it only took 4 once everything was spaced out and upgraded, but I needed all 8 placed to build properly unless I wanted to waste a ton of shroud cores getting everything lined up. So I wouldn’t have been able to build this if I was playing multiplayer without some shenanigans.

That’s not a very large build in Conan Exiles. And I would point out.. it didn’t have the bridge in Enshrouded. Since I didn’t wish to waste flame altars on that.

Enshrouded’s system could be better if it was per player or clan. But as others pointed out, that would be circumnavigated by alt accounts. Just as the clan limits already are.

Not at all what I meant, yes the issue with Enshrouded is it isn’t multi player. It’s squad based, 1 person or 14 it is still one squad.

I was pointing it out as a per player thing. But in Enshrouded the pyres were more then just land claims.

Now my question is why build a castle in enshrouded?
I have to wonder why they made a sand box linear game. I played through I’m done.

To be fair to Enshrouded, the issue it has with its linearity, CE had in its own Early Access. However Enshrouded has way way more content than CE did in its early access. We’ll have to compare content to content much later in its development cycle.

I do know that Enshrouded plans to unlink its flame altar restriction at some point.

In CE a landclaim system would serve to make less work for private server owners. But wouldn’t affect Funcom servers much due to alt accounts. Funcom needs to really consider not allowing the game to go for free or for significant discounts. And even if they allow small trials demo’s of the game, not to allow said players to play on servers that disallow it.

It won’t fix the issues entirely, but it will heavily mitigate them when people have to purchase each account for $40 instead of under $5. And it would take a while to work through the dozen alt accounts people already purchased at discount.

I mean think about that. For the price of a new game can get you a dozen accounts. Its no wonder cheating is rampant on funcom servers. People can play with a clean account and play dirty on 10+ other accounts without fear.

Once again, it isn’t the foundations that are the issue. It’s vaults of horded crap. Hording isn’t just an issue in the real world.

Using the example I have, a player either quit or got timed out; hopefully nothing bad, but their megabase decayed. I’d never been in it just the walkways and plaza that cover half a map square. Room, after room, after room of stacked chests and crates. One room had dozens of chests of unsorted loot. I opened chests full of nothing but tombs of knowledge. One room had dozens or running forages all maned. The “bridge” has a dozen T3 animals pens all full of goldnoses. Floor after floor, room after room, and each one had more crap in it then all my bases combined. Then there was the tower. I spent no less then an hour getting to the top of the tower; all lit up, it became a quest. I was so glad there was a transtone at the top. And when I stepped in it looked like an avalanche. No less then 18 stones. I visited a few, most of them were bigger then my main base.

Once all those builds decayed the server started running better then it has since I came back for 3.0. Yes, a good server could handle that load, but these are Gportal.

If you check the forum isnt just your server crashing also many things can make a server crash right now the big problem is purges with gas arrows it make any server crash take a look in forum before talking things you might dont know you can learn a little about what is happening like people losing thralls because server decay is glitched people getting banned for false reports people getting kicked because purges with gas arrows are bugged.

Also the main lag right now are coming from purges and spam taverns clans with 5+taverns some structures like black ice and frontier are making lag too.

To game be like siptah no one playing it?

The game is almost empty of players making people pay to play it now will just kill the game…

Also in consoles it wont work because if you buy a game or dlc you can still use in your alt accounts.

What funcom can do now is remove g portal and get something best it will fix MANY problems or make a kid tutorial teaching peoples to dont build near others people avoid building in silkhole , sepemeru , mounds of dead , new asgard or near al merah if theres 2 or more bases in it places and teach how big is the map theres a HUGES areas in the north ice and right now you dont need almost nothing to survive in ice area same for volcano area you can live here theres no lag and you can walk naked in volcano just eating ice theres jungle too but maybe people dont like to live here because they are afraid of snakes or spiders…

Palworld is a good example of limited land claims. Think it might be 4 base areas now. Although people still cry about it not being big enough. It’s a damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenario. But what others brought up. People will purchase second accounts etc.

Palworlds landclaim mechanic. Yes you get a big circle. Even if you were to place a second palbox down its still a distance from the other circle. You couldn’t link them together to make a bigger area.

My Idea is land claim flags. How big an area is negotiable, hasn’t really been worked out.
1 to start plus 1 per level giving you 6 total.
I’ve toyed with breaking them down even further because a transtone out post doesn’t take up much space.

For clans or alts, I can’t come up with anything that doesn’t seem like a punishment for joining a clan. But In my opinion we need hard limits. Zendesk simply does not work. I mean it’s ludicrous to expect people to honorarily abide by a ToC; not every one is me, and/or expect other players to report them for violations.

What we have now leads to, spam abuse of zendesk, and post after post after post by people complaining one way or the other.

When i think of land claim flags. I go back to Atlas and how people severely abused those things. I mean had they set a limit to how many flags per players it probably woulda gone better. But they did not.
No way to ever make everyone happy. I build reasonably. Try to stay off of beaten paths. Ok so Dregs isn’t exactly off beaten path but no one seems to like living their cept a select few.
Several servers i’ve been on and some are good. Some are horrendous. I mean i look at the living settlement upcoming update and go DEAR GOD. it will render the server crash happy.
They gotta do something. Or maybe they are at the point of just not caring and think its too late.

And which server do you want yours merged with?

I don’t have a list, so I’m down to one official atm. The merges worked in the past with stated constraints, like 230 inventory slots to temporary hold the items you want on hand. “We” understood such constraints in open worlds might backfire. In other words, it needs more assertions for devs.

The result? It is still working on officials, since then – I login just fine. Going from official pvp to official pvp seemed smooth.

Land claim flags fpr clan and player.
IE clan can have 4 flags 6x6x10 flag (Main base so to speak).
players can have 4 flags. 4x4x6 Here is the catch only the players can access there own flags and refresh. Maybe with a decay type respurce that can only be placed in the flag.
For clan refresh, all clan members can acces to feed it.

That means solo has 8 flags, and max clan has 44, but most are small.
solo cubed area = 1440 + 384 (1824)
10 man cubed area = 1440 + 960 (2400)

Couldn’t that be problematic with those who run multiple accounts?

Multi-boxers always have had a way to run if its first attack doesn’t hit. That’s if you get a chance to run, too. This is where BattleEye would fail upon. How does it know the difference… between a multi-boxer… or a solo. By clan? Alliance? Or something more invasive? The transporter can fix part of it until the multi-boxer tries it…
